    Man, I haven't played Fallout in a while. Definitely small guns and speech. Maybe science for the third one. I dunno. Lockpick and repair are really useful, but I loves me some science.  
     
    Edit: Is science even one of them? I just remember there being one for hacking computers.

    Lockpick Science and Speech  served me well in the last one, should do the same in Vegas.
    (might drop lockpick if there's a skill that helps you in the casinos)

    Why would they put one in? Isn't luck essentially the skill that would help?

    I just know I will spend at least an hour gawping at the screen undecided which 3 to choose. Leaning towards Lockpick, Science and Speech, but if it's anything like Fallout 3, having both Lockpick and Science can be a waste, so might switch one out for Repair, Sneak or one of the combat skills. Decisions.

    You guys do know that small guns is no longer a skill right?They ditched it in favor of just having a guns category ,and energy weapons category.It's the only skill that got kicked out, though now they have survival.So I am thinking survival, speech, and sneak.I like to get the drop on my enemies.

    New Vegas has grouped Small Guns and Big Guns into one Skill simply named Guns. So mine'll be: 

    • Guns
    • Lockpick
    • Repair

    Guns *its no longer called small guns from what I've read* repair and sneak. I would do lockpick but if its anything like fallout 3 lockpicking isn't that hard in the end and I can just quick save before a lock and then autopick and If I fail and break the lock just quick load and do it over and over again. As well one of the main ways I get caps is by stealing its the easiest way to do it and rarely gives you a big boost in evil affinity and its one of the few ways to get some of the more unique weapons in fallout 3 like the terrible shotgun, and the robotron and string knife...ect I don't expect it to be much different in vegas.

    No love for Energy Weapons among the crew here? Shame. i'm going to tag Speech, Energy Weapons, and probably Science. I might switch out the last one for Medicine or Repair though, I'll have to think about it.

    @Lilarcor: I'm hoping Tag! will once again be a perk, which I will choose Energy Weapons for. Like all previous Fallout's, you probably won't come across any decent energy weapons until quite a few hours in.

    @samcotts:  Yeah, that's definitely been a problem in the past games. But according to the developers, you'll be able to find useful weapons in all 3 categories throughout every point in the game. Hopefully they're right about that but I guess we'll see.
