503 errors and download issues for premium videos

I have been working my way through downloading premium videos.

Around the February 2018 page, everything is not downloadable anymore. It's pulling lots of 503 errors and "unknown server failure" errors.

I went back and checked some videos which I already downloaded and those don't work any longer as well.

Videos from these past few weeks download no problem, but something has changed with older videos.

I do not have an example of one that works from this time period.

Hmm I haven't seen that error before; I'll see if an engineer might know what's going on.

Not sure if it helps, but I've noticed similar issues today - I've been unable to play some older videos like Metal Gear Scanlon and Bourne to Run on my Android TV via the GB Enthusiast app.

This seemingly didn't effect newer videos like this week's Dear Giant Bomb, and the older videos were still viewable via mobile browser on the website.

I have also run into this issue. Of note, videos that are downloaded from the https://giantbomb.redvideo.io URL prefix work correctly, while older videos that still use the https://static-mt-rv-v1.giantbomb.com prefix do not. Hopefully this helps you narrow down the issue.

I just started getting errors with the GB Fan app (Apple TV) on older content as well. I also tried reinstalling the "official" Giant Bomb app (again, Apple TV), which doesn't even load the video thumbnails when clicking into a show. Glad it's not just me!

I'll be trying to figure this out today. Not quite sure if it's an error for the video team or the engineers but we'll see!

Ran into this same issue trying to use Bomb Cyclone on iOS and GB Fan on AppleTV.

@briankbl: Yes, it is still being looked into. I don't have an ETA on a fix right now, unfortunately.

Looks like this might be on the path to resolution. For giggles I attempted to download a Die Another Friday which uses the https://static-mt-rv-v1.giantbomb.com prefix and it loaded the video up to be saved as expected.

Older videos seem to be working for me as well, now.

Came across this and wanted to chime in and say that Jeff Gerstmann Pro Skater videos weren't playing for me the other day through the API, but they are working just fine now
