I don't know if this is a bug or it's on my end but for the last few days if I hit the download button on Firefox for a video, then select the size, it starts streaming instead of downloading. More specifically it pops out, shows my flv player icon, then starts streaming. Downloads fine on IE9 but would rather not use that. I even uninstalled my flv player and it still happens on both my home PC and laptop.

Hey duder,

I think this is just because of a browser plugin. Here's how to get around this:

1. Hover over the download size for a video (say Medium)

2. Right-click, then click Save Link As

3. Save. You should be able to download it now.

Let me know if you have any more issues!

This will also probably work for mobile browsers--long press on Android or iOS, although iOS will only allow you to copy the link address, which may be helpful for apps which cans download video directly.

Yep, right-click -> Save Link As is what you have to do on Firefox by default.

However, you can change this in the options. Go to the Firefox button -> Options -> Applications

Then select the filetype (.mp4 for Giant Bomb Videos) and change it to Save File or Always Ask.
