And before the update a year ago aliases couldn't be added either. That update added alias fields to objects, concepts and locations, but they didn't lock it to mods only, and the ability to rename those pages wasn't granted to anyone. Admins can rename then presumably, because they had that ability before and I think they'd have noticed if it disappeared. :D
Rename Health Club to Gym and keep health club as an alias.

Silvia Christel; rename to Sylvia Christel, the correct spelling.
Kimmy Howel; add a second l to her last name.
Suzuki Superbikes; rename to Suzuki TT Superbikes Real Road Racing, it's full title.
Made some typos:

Emperor Angelfish

Speckled Butterflyfish
Needs an extra "e" in "achievement."
Extra A. Should be "Kazdan" Paratus.
Margaret; rename to Margaret Moonlight, her full name.
NIS America is being forced to change the names of both of their Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman games due to a lawsuit.
Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do To Deserve This? ---> What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord?
The sequel and franchise pages already seem to have been renamed.
Made a typo, its "common"
Apparently proper capitalization isn't required anymore: in-game e-mail. Seems a valid concept, but we are so lazy as to avoid the shift key now? Does this bother anyone else? =P How about "In-Game E-mail" instead?
Pro Stroke Golf - World Tour 2007; change the hyphen to colon (:) just cause that's the way the manual refers to the game.
" Apparently proper capitalization isn't required anymore: in-game e-mail. Seems a valid concept, but we are so lazy as to avoid the shift key now? Does this bother anyone else? =P How about "In-Game E-mail" instead? "Yeah, people don't seem to understand how titling things works. I've often seen people create biographies on Wikipedia without any capitalization. Biographies. For people. Using their names, which are always supposed to be capitalized. Not much you can do except point out to them the correct method of capitalization.
It can be a bit more troublesome on Giant Bomb than on most other wikis though for several reasons:
A) The first letter in the title isn't automatically capitalized. Most MediaWiki installations automatically capitalize it.
B) We use title case for page names, rather than the sentence case that they may be expecting.
C) Only moderators and staff can move pages to better names.
D) Only staff can move objects, concepts, and locations to better name. And unfortunately those are the types most often misnamed, likely a result of both points A and B.
This one is coming out as "Metal Torrent" outside of Japan.
He certainly doesn't think of himself as that man's son, he's made to hate him, actually. For that matter, at no point is he referred to by any name, we only know his first name is "Jack" because it's on the present in the opening cutscene. Change it to just "Jack" and make "Jack Ryan" an alias.
Just checked their website and their full name is:
Gevo Entertainment Pte Ltd
" http://www.giantbomb.com/gevo-entertainment/65-6957/The legal status isn't needed for a company page, is it?
Just checked their website and their full name is:
Gevo Entertainment Pte Ltd "
" Free to Play should be renamed Free Online Games to make it more obvious that it is not the same thing as Free Games. Otherwise those two should just be merged. "Free to play is an established term for that model. The real problem is the Free Games concept, which should be renamed to Freeware in order to avoid confusion with the completely different concept of free software.
But mods can't rename concepts regardless.
The Vault 101 Dweller should be renamed Lone Wanderer.
" Well who can rename concepts? "The staff. They're the only ones who can do it, but they never check this thread because mods usually handle rename requests.
" The Vault 101 Dweller should be renamed Lone Wanderer. "Why? The character has no canon name, so one generic description is as good as another. I mean, people actually refer to you as 'vault dweller' in-game, so the only reason not to call the page that is that that name is already used to refer to the protagonist of the original Fallout. "Vault 101 Dweller" works just fine.
Edit:
In the Collector's Edition Fallout 3 Game of The Year Edition guide. The character profile for the character is "Lone Wanderer". So that is the characters canon name.Jean-Eric Rouvier should be renamed Jean-Eric Louvier.
Oceane Rouvier should be renamed Oceana Louvier.
This is evidenced in the Giant Bomb quick look of Endless Ocean: Blue World from roughly 11:00 to 12:30.
This is my own fault. Added "Street Hoop" under its European name "Street Slam" by accident.
Walther WA 2000 Sniper Rifle should be renamed Walther WA 2000
M79 grenade launcher should be renamed M79 Grenade Launcher
quill should be renamed Quill
glass cutter should be renamed Glass Cutter
sword blade should be renamed Sword Blade
Just a note to let you guys know that mods are now able to rename all pages.
It will take some time to work back through the list, but keep them coming.
Can we get a change to the page " Opening cinematic were people fight". There's an 'h' somewhere that feels unloved.
