@EpicSteve: Because that's the way the site works? People pages are for folks that are credited for creating the game somehow, character pages are for in-game characters. Sometimes this results in two pages. It's usually best to differentiate by using the People page to talk about their creative roles and RL bio, and a character page to speak directly about their character in the game(s).

It just doesn't make much sense. Why not have a section in the main page of the person for his/her videogame interpretations? Just sounds like that would streamline the wikis and reduce clutter in cases like this.

You said it yourself, one is for the real person and one is for the person as a character in games. Real people frequently appear in games, and we should be documenting both the characters and the real people they are based on (if they're also credited in at least one game).

@EpicSteve: If we were to have a person page, we wouldn't be able to add him to any game pages as a character. And if we were just to have a character page we wouldn't be able to list his credits. He needs two pages, because he is both a real life person credited in games and a character within games. We have many cases like it. It is not unique.
