Well if my kids could type they would say that yes, we do.
Do your parents play videogames?
"peaceful_anger said:Thank you. I've come around to accepting it. I'm just thankful that Wii sports gives him the opportunity to play the sports he loves, since he can't really get out and play them."My dad plays Wii Sports. He has Parkinson's disease, so it helps him with hand-eye coordination. : ("sorry to hear that"
My mom played flOw once, lol. Found it 'incredibly relaxing' and told my dad to play it when he is stressed. ;p
They used to quite a lot. In fact, I owe my love for a lot of games to my parents, because of what they used to play (Tomb Raider, the original Medal of Honor games and Crash Team Racing, to name a few). These days, though, never. I think my dad should take it up again, though. Maybe if he did he'd lighten up a bit. :P
My mom has mad skillz on Dr Mario and Tetris. Dr Mario especially. She manages to beat all 20 levels and got to the fabled "level 21".
My parents are in their 50's and I guess they are pretty 'hardcore' by parental standards. My mom plays pretty much only JRPG's and grid-based strategy games a la FF Tactics. I got her a 360 last year and she's been working her way through Blue Dragon. She got herself a DS not too long ago. Dad will only play on the PC but he's a big fan of Prince of Persia, I think the last title he played was Bioshock. It's cool to be able to go over there and talk games with them sometimes, mom always wants to know if there is any good new stuff out. I know its not really the norm but its been this way in my family since Bard's Tale on the monochrome green Apple IIe back in the day.
My mum plays Zuma on PC and she has been known to play the Wii and my dad plays windows solitar.
So its safe to say that they dont really play many games
