Embarrassing gamespot accounts
@LordAndrew said:
/users/self/ is bad design. People, DO NOT POST THOSE LINKS ANYWHERE. They only go to their intended destination for you while logged into your own account. Instead, replace "self" with your actual username.
Oh god I can't believe it is still like that.
I remember 5 years ago people would troll with that... "This person is really bad, he should be banned gamespot.com/users/self/ "

There isn't even a fucking fullstop! And yes, those numbers at the end are in there.
That's unabashed enthusiasm right there, excitement = NO TIME FOR GRAMMAR!!!
I've never had a GS account, and I don't think I ever lurked the forums to any significant degree. I'd be just as curious to see if people have a dormant Gamefaqs account, because I remember that being a complete wild-west in terms of the posters there.
@Pepsiman:
Glad I'm not the only one. I hate looking over my older work, almost to an embarrassing degree.
Got an account created 2002, which I haven't really used at all except downloading videos and a rare comment here and there. Mostly bummed out that I can't change the username since it's extremely dated and old, and also considering "Cincaid" is my username everywhere else nowadays.
Do old GameFAQs reviews count? Wrote this when I was 16, and I cringe at everything in it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/198966-the-house-of-the-dead/reviews/review-49641
It's almost everything I hate in a review... I want to go back and slap me.
Edit: I just looked up some of my other old accounts throughout the internet... oh god...
Edit edit: Oh wow, I just found my old contributions to the Classic Gaming Mailbag (remember Mailbags?) on GameSpy. I miss baffling Fragmaster...
I did a lot of stupid things on that site, too, but mostly innocent stuff regarding my forays into old game collecting. Thank goodness there isn't a forum history on that site. I probably would've been super bummed had I read my 15 year old self's posts.
bingbashbosh
*Hides in embarassment*
Me and a friend made a parody of "The Last Word" and were featured (in a bad way) at the end of and episode of the real show. A clip from our parody was also used in a title on that gameshow "Button Mashing".
I didn't post much back then either, so there's not a lot of "bad stuff". Most of my posts were in the site feedback section to get them to fix stuff and to stop linking the gamefaqs and gamespot boards or make them the same.
But yeah, I'm here:
I find some of my old 1up posts now and the, and man are they bad. Especially since back then I was too lazy to use caps lock so I never capitalized my I's or the start of sentences. Thank god Anime Vice came around and John/Gia got me to start caring about my writing to some degree. It kind of makes it hard to be taken seriously when you write like a handicapped 5 year old. Especially on a forum where your writing is the only way to express yourself.
Wow been a long time since I last logged in. Funny thing is that the email I have it registered to doesn't exist anymore. Or well I can't access it anymore. And I have more forum posts on gamespot that on here.

I was a member of gamefaqs, not gamespot. That's my shame.
Same. That was several email accounts, though, so I'm spared the walk down memory lane.

…I left 1.0 reviews for Kane and Lynch.
That's nothing to be ashamed of; in fact, Giant Bomb's own Vinny Caravella did the exact same thing.
@Claude:
*transforms into Shadow Yukiko, because why the hell not* Aw, my loyal subjects miss me. How sweet.
I wrote a review of one of the BK games. I almost deleted it right when I saw it but it deserves to continue existing.
I finally found one of my accounts created in 2003. I only really used it for watching videos. I can't log into it though because I can't remember the password and it was attached to an email that I haven't logged into for over 7 years because last time I logged in it had over 1000 spam email. I don't even want to know what it has now.
You were part of the Nintendo Defense Force then and you still are. The only thing that has changed was your spelling.

God, what a complete and utter fuckwit.
Check out my sweet forum signature that I made:

Holy shit.
Here is an old review I wrote about Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror when I was 15.
"This game has big guns! Everthing about this game is amazing. The controls work smoothly on the psp. The AI is a bit dumb but that adds to the fun of kill a lot of them. There is a good selection of weapons with the cools unlockable. It's hard to hit enemies from afar(unless you got a sniper rifile). The games as the best graphics for the psp i have seen so far. The music comes on at random times which freak me out when im hiding. The online sounds great but i havent tried that out yet. There are a lot of secerts called "hidden evidence" that you have to collect to fully understand the story and unlock stuff. Overall this is one of the greatest game for the psp!"
