The question that we need to ask ourselves: Is there going to be place where can chat normally during this?
Game Awards shenanigans
If Kojima is Kiefer's "Big Boss", does that mea Kiefer is Kojima's "Solid Snake"?
Hehhehhehhhehheh...
@bisonhero: The other guy is Boogie, he does a lot of game related stuff on his channel so it isn't too weird.
Also someone NOT JEFF won trending gamer, RIOT, RIOT IN THE STREETS, FLIP AND BURN SHIT, SET ROLLER COASTERS ON FIRE!
EA always manages to drag out Hardline trailers in the most inappropriate times. People must just be dying to play dirty cop power fantasies.

Yeah, I was just thinking, "sure is a great time to show off your game about a militarized police force".
So Nintendo won developer of the year, Smash Bros Wii U won best fighter and MK8 won best sports/racing game. Nintendo is killing it!
Holy crap, this may be worse than the Spike TV VGAs. I have not seen this many big names come together in a train wreck production since Expendabales.
Oh look, someone being hyperbolic on the internet. Do you even remember the VGAs? A bunch of C list celebreties, not giving a fuck. At least more people seem to care tonight.
There's been sound problems and some messy camera angles, but in terms of substance and entertainment this is a totally competent awards show. Unlike previous incarnations, it seems to have been made for actual humans to enjoy. Cringe-factor is only a fraction of what it was last year!
Watching the show I've come to the realization that we just don't need this. Sure, the show has plenty of things that could be better etc, but even if they were good the concept just isn't that great. People watch the show for different reasons (although I would guess mostly for the new trailers) and as proven over the rest of the year it's better served seperately than in this combined package.
If someone wants to make an actual good awards show they need to focus on doing one thing, and then do it at least as well (and hopefully better) than what the games press/other events is already doing. This mish-mash of trying to be E3, a platform for developers and an entertainment show all in one hasn't been working out, and I don't think it ever will.
I don't understand why people hate this show.
Seems fine.
Are you talking this one or previous ones? People seem to be taking this one well, previous ones you could fill a book about how shit they were, but now that Spike has cut loose, or Geoff has cut loose its going pretty nice, I dig all the live performances and that actual game devs are on stage at a percentage higher then all of the other VGAs combined.
Music and visuals in No Man's Sky seem top notch. Still not clear if it's going to actually be fun to play for any amount of time. I respect their decision to keep the basic systems and gameplay a mystery but I can't know if it's going to have the appeal of Minecraft (limitless) or Starbound (boiler plate and boring).

GB chat. Seems every segment has a dozen+ people complaining.
But then again.... chat.

Holy shit! Ken and Roberta Williams showed up.
Yeah, this whole sequence was actually super respectful and whatnot. So like, good for Keighley and co., for being a class act?

Absolutely. Giving those two time to come up and talk, and even pass on the torch, was super nice.
@csl316: Ah okay, I haven't been paying attention to any of the chats due to, well, as you said.. chats.
There has been an awkward moment here or there sure but if people really think this is bad... well, let 'em, but their loss, the Sierra bit just now was super cool and would never have had happened before.
"Little" Peter Dinklage.
Oh god, let me reintroduce you two. Foot, meet mouth.
Beaten to the punch! There was a lot of cringe-worthy stuff during the show (as per usual), but that was the absolute worst.
WOOO DRAGON AGE!
I liked the part where the elf lady got on the stage and did elf things.
