Games often have dashboard update data printed on the disk so users without net access can update their system as well. This is also true for other platform games such as Wii.
The fact is the 360's binary security has not yet been cracked. Noone knows what all security data there is (except people inside MS obviously). Pirates copy 360 games by copying all this data exactly.
Either way, no 360 game installed takes up more than 6.8GB of space.

They use different tech for compression and Ps3 games have been known to be larger simply due to repeated content in order to compensate for load times. Resistance 1 was like 20 GBs. No way in hell did that deliver anything more content wise than any other game. "

I didn't say exactly kill the puzzle genre, but more so showing my dislike for trial and error type philosophies. But this was simply a thread about data content size with a fact sheet list and it's been twisted.
