Persona 5.
Duh.
i doubt it would be this because Famitsu would have it first, but if it isn't Persona 5 i don't care what the announcement is.

Just fucking let it be a fucking new goddamn console, jesus christ. ALL OF US SEATTLE FOLK CAN SMELL YOUR NEW PIE COOKING MICROSOFT. WE KNOW IT'S THERE. NOW OPEN THE FUCKING WINDOW AND LET IT COOL OFF IN MY BELLY.

Titan or Half-Life 3 sounds like the best guesses so far.
I don't think they put any blood into the issue, that is clearly an exaggeration, else I'm kind of impressed.
Impressed? Try disgusted. Think of how nasty it'll be by the time it arrives!
@Ryan You should delay the podcast but not actually talk about the reveal just to mess with people.
I AM DESPERATE FOR DETAILS! I wrote in Bold and in Caps, dude! That's how i'm desperate.@MikeGosot said:
DooM 4.It's been confirmed already at the latest Quakecon, and the 'leaked' photos didn't generate much hype at all last year, so I'm thinking Id is going to do a slow news stream seeming no one is really desperate for details.
So Game Informer has said they are making the reveal at 4pm on the 14th, and EA has a conference at Gamescon at the same time. I bet it is some EA thing. Maybe a new IP, maybe Dragon Age, BF4, I dunno.

After hearing about the Inside Valve interview thing on GT next thursday... hmmm probably still the Sony thing. ;)
I'll be damned......
It's been long enough for them to build a whole new Source engine from the ground up (which is probably why Half-Life 3 has taken so damn long). They've mined Left 4 Dead and Portal well enough that releasing another one would risk franchise fatigue.
This is based on pure speculation, but I really think it's Half-Life 3. No other game could pull this kind of teasing off without coming off as completely stupid. It's not like Valve doesn't have access to MASSIVE amounts of capital from basically becoming the de-facto distributor of PC games. They can all the time they damn well please without publisher interference or financial pressure. Rockstar already announced GTA5 and Blizzard's probably been busy expanding Diablo 3. I don't know what else it could possibly be......
Which makes me wonder why they couldn't announce during E3. It's not like Valve would be drowned out by the slew of cool looking things like Wonderbook and more military based third-person shooters.

hey guys battlefront 3......... maybe?
Nope. Lucasarts is too busy making Gears of War with lasers.
Since its not GTA V or Half-Life 3, BAATELFEELD 4.

Well, it's not Half-Life 3 or GTAV at least.

Just because I'm tired of reading the news. GI Australia is not revealing GTA V or Half-Life 3.
It's sad that it had to be mentioned. Did people seriously think it was going to be one of those two games? GTA V has already been announced - a long time ago. Half-Life 3...well, Half-Life 3 is Half-Life 3; also, Valve have better ways to announce a game than a magazine cover.
I'm putting my money on Sonys Rain game. There were some rumblings about new registered names by Sony and one of them was Rain. It also seemed to leak out photage of this game a couple a weeks ago. And since the embargo seems to fit with Sonys Gamescom pressconference it seems logical that it may be this game. It's not that wierd that Sony really really didn't want to spoil this reveal through the Game Informer cover. But at the same time it may not be a totally unknown game since stuff already has leaked, but what doesn't leak at Sony these days? A (hopefully) new cool game/IP from Sony could be some really cool news.

Valve could just release it on Steam tomorrow and the Internet exploding would be the best coverage ever.

A while ago I seem to remember reading that Rockstar was planning on announcing more about GTAV later in 2012, but it didn't seem to be clear on when in 2012 it would be.

Is it the 14th in Australia yet?
Yes, but I don't think they ever said when on the 14th it would be.
Can't be that big - they left to Game Informer AUSTRALIA. If it was anything of substance, the real Game Informer would've snapped it up.

I didn't really think about this. This is true. I guess it is Grand Theft Auto V after all! (I'm joking. I'm not that much of a jerk.)
Hm, probably won't be the new Prince of Persia - Game Informer AU already posted the leaked image on their Facebook. It wouldn't really make sense for them to post that if they were also going to be the ones officially announcing the game...
