Super Poll: What is your favorite 2011 video game so far?

I actually stopped playing at that point, so my perspective on the game as a whole might be void.

Probably Deus Ex at this point. Bastion was surprisingly great, as was Mortal Kombat, but I have caveats for both of those. I don't really have any with Human Revolution, other than the shooting isn't amazing.

Since I can't, I'll vote Portal 2.

Maybe it was because it was the first fighting game I'd bought in years, but Mortal Kombat was fucking awesome.

I really love MK, Resistance 3 definitely also stands out, As does Deus Ex, but I have not finished it yet. I guess I don't have a number 1 favorite yet.

Portal 2 without a doubt.

Portal 2 and Dead Space 2 are tied. Haven't started the Witcher 2 yet though. I might want to do the Witcher 1 though.

Dead Space 2 by a mile. Played through that game four times, getting all the achievements along the way.

It's kind of crazy seeing all the games in a list, more games have come out this year then I thought..... I went with Dragon Age 2 though. I love portal 2 but it was a game that I played once and never went back to, and although I still like Dragon age 1 a lot more then Dragon age 2 it was still a good game.

I honestly don't think I can choose just one. My favourites this year were probably Bastion, inFamous 2 and Portal 2. I really enjoyed Deus Ex as well, but I kinda felt my interest start to wane during the third or so of the game.

Bastion. Portal 2 and DX:HR are close contenders but I didn't feel the need to S-Rank both of those games on both PC and XBLA because I couldn't get enough of them.

Even though I still haven't been able to play the co-op, I think Portal 2 is a fantastic game. There have been many good games that have come out this year, but my vote goes to Portal 2.

Portal 2, but Tren-, I mean, "Iron Brigade" comes in a close second

I can't really decide. It was Catherine, but Dead Island is looking pretty good right now too.

I voted for Portal 2, but it would probably have to be a tie between that and The Witcher 2.

Between Ghost Trick, Shadows of the Damned, and Portal 2.

Good to know based on those results i'm pretty much the typical giant bomb user. 

Voted for Dead Space 2. Portal would defiantly be a close second though.

I went with Deus Ex. I guess I'm just not as much into Valve as most people.

I really liked Dragon Age: II so I chose that. Though Catherine was an oddly good game and Portal two was up there but i didn't enjoy it as much the second time through.

A lot of good games so far this year... And many more before the year's end.

Mortal Kombat held the title up until the last week of August. Glad to see others like Deus Ex as much as I did.

Portal 2 easily, although I really loved Mortal Kombat, LA Noire, Bastion, and Crimson Alliance.

I know it's not L.A. Noire. That game is fucking trash.

I would go with portal. They expanded in the first game in ways that were shocking to me.

I went with MK. I love MK, but I would have put Deus Ex on the same pedestal. I picked MK because the "newness factor" is gone, and it is still an incredible fighting game. Why did I Sophie's choice Deus Ex? I feel gross now.

The Witcher 2.

Dead Space 2 i'd say. Not nearly as good with the first, same could be said about most of the 2011 games i've played this year as they've mainly been sequels. However Dark Soul's will probably take my Game of the Year with Uncharted 3 and Batma fighting for 2nd and 3rd. I still have Catherine and LA Noire to play. However plenty of good things coming out this year and if I manage to get time for them it's going to be a good year.

why isn't Witcher 2 on this?   Poll failed before it even started.

Well the best game this year for me is Portal 2, but my favorite has to be Terraria. It's the game that I have a difficult time letting go of and I've been having fun playing that game as it evolves.

It appears that, so far, I am the only vote for Shadows of the Damned. I know that game might not be as technically inspiring as my other 2011 favorites such as Portal 2 but, damn it, I am a sucker for all things Suda 51. That game has so much style and it's so much fun to play. It also has my favorite boss battle of 2011- the harmonica man chase!

EDIT: Also Dead Space 2! Honestly, I am torn holy hell 2011 has been such a great year for games and it's only going to get better. Rage, Batman, Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Zelda, it's hard to process sometimes.

I voted for Dead Space 2. Bastion is a close second however. But judging by what i hear come September 20th my vote will be changing.

tie between Portal 2 and Bastion, I went with the latter since that was something completely new and I sort of already knew what to expect with Portal 2.
