I'm going to have to agree with this. The first time you play Bioshock and see the enormity of it all, it really blows you away."

What is your favourite/best intro cinematic you've seen? [ Poll ]
So how come the Japanese always had more kick ass CGI? (at least earlier on)" Easy one

" Dude. Dude, dude, dude. How was this overlooked? "hahahahaha, just seeing the 64 logo straddle it's way across the screen brought back warm fuzzies. Mad props suh.

" The Half-Life 2 intro is hardly what I would call a cinematic. It's hardly even an intro. "Trueeeee, but it's just that we've never really had a big black and white face be the first thing we see when we pop in the game. I for one was pretty taken aback when I saw it for the first time, even though it is pretty dang short for an intro.
Time, Dr. Freeman? Is it really that time again?
Okay, so that's from the ending, but I shat bricks when he said that. That was among the best moments in that game. That voice actor is pretty good.
You're missing the most mindfuckingly amazing game intro ever conceived - the intro for Cryo's Commander Blood. With fucking puppets dancing to an incredibly awesome early 90's rave song:
ENJOY THIS SHIT OR YOUR SANITY AND TASTE IN VIDEO GAME CINEMATICS IS IN QUESTION:
Yes, both Dark Reign and System Shock 2 (and don't forget System Shock 1, that intro still looks amazing 16 years later) have fantastic intros.
Conquest Earth was another RTS with a fantastic and obviously Babylon 5 inspired intro sequence, that intro is so great I really regret that I sold my copy of the game, even though the game itself was so badly programmed it was actually unplayable. It was an RTS where your units couldn't shoot on their own, and had no pathfinding - if you encountered an enemy you had to move your units in firing range yourself, and then click for every time you wanted to fire upon the enemy Diablo style.

System Shock 2 intro. Cause it's freaking sweet, granted much of the awesomeness is cause of the sexy psychopathic AI, but its a intro i will never forget, even tho its not eye candy.
