That was my impulse buy before the Yakuza 4 one. I too wanted to put it off until later, maybe wait for a price drop or even wait as long as a GOTY edition, but I was at a EB Games and said fuck it and bought it.ME3 yesterday night, was putting it off to do later but i was just too damn bored.
What was your last gaming related impulse buy?
I'd say the vast majority of my video game purchases are impulse. There are maybe three games a year that I know for sure I want to buy and the rest are just a combination of boredom and one click shopping on Amazon.
Purchased all these in one afternoon last week. Did not plan on buying any of these, just happened.

Rebought No More Heroes Paradise . . . That game deserved better than being in some barginbin and later being thrown out.
Hardly. Despite having a few bonus features, the PS3 port is pretty much trash compared to the Wii original. Controls are sluggish at best, and that's both with or without the Move controller. Keep in mind, Grasshopper Manufacture had nothing to do with this port.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
I knew I'd like it but I also knew that given how busy I am there's no way I'd finish it before Gears 3 came out. I couldn't help but grab it on Steam though since word was that it was a great PC version.
I was right - I haven't been back to it since Gears 3 and Mass Effect 3 came out even though I was having a great time with it.

Are you sure we're talking about the same version here? There was a Japanese version in 2010 that was completely horrible both control and preformencewise. The Paradise version that came out a year later in the west was a vast improvement IMO.
I can't recall, but it's definitely related to any Steam Sales.
I do remember buying GTA IV + 2 DLC for the PC for a great price (20/30 bucks, 2 years ago) and then when I got home I remembered that my computer would probably not run it very well and yep, it totally didn't run smoothly.
I bought a new stick and buttons for my arcade stick. Spent about $60 putting new parts in that thing.
I know that it's also on sale at Steam, but since Steam uses euros it's like twice as expensive.
Two at the same time: White Knight Chronicles II (!!!! FINALLY !!!!!) for $25 and Vanquish for $15. Not too bad at all, considering I couldn't even find WKCII when it was new...
The reason why I'm so pumped about WKCII is because it comes with the first game on the same disc, AND the Geonet license wasn't even used by the previous owner. So I basically got the online pass and the first game included in that $25, as well as the sequel. :)
I got a coupon for it on Steam which took off around 65%, can't say no to that. It's quite good.
iOS games aside (?), I grabbed the MMO7 mouse as soon as AMZ had it in stock, cause I was all like 'zomG I play MMOs...I NEED those buttons!' O_O It's pricey but...(please see,Buttons)
I am about to return though - seems like a better fit for claw-grip peeps (jerks!) even with all the adjustment ability. I'm going to stick with my Logi G500 for the time being, which really is an exceptional mouse (*pets G500...)
Bunch of Fallout (the good ones) off a steam sale. 1,2 and tactics for £5.
Be good to play on the laptop and genrally, better than that Bethesda Oblivion with guns nonsense.
$600 for my younger brother (aspiring indie dev) to have dinner with John Romero and Will Wright (separately). Other than that? I don't know. I buy a game on Steam or GOG almost every single day, a game via Amazon for the console almost every week or two, and back a game on Kickstarter two to four times a week. So . . . I pretty much make a game-related impulse buy on a more-than-daily basis. :P
Probably when I kicked in $50 to The Banner Saga kickstarter and $10 to the FTL one. If by actual games that I could now be playing, I guess it would be a few weeks back when I bought Splatterhouse and Halo Wars for the 360 for around $30. $10 for Splatterhouse and $20 for Halo Wars.
One time I shit my pants in my sleep for some reason, so I bought a PS3 to make myself feel better.
True story
I bought the fallout collection THING on steam since it was like 6 bucks again...who knows if I'll get around to playing them.
Binary Domain was also my last impulse buy - picked it up after the QL. It is indeed pretty damn sweeeeeeeeet.Binary Domain, 23 quid from Tesco.
I haven't played it yet, so I cannot confirm whether or not that was sweeeet.
