What was your last nostalgia attack?

Banjo-Kazooie, I am about to finish it again, then on to Banjo-tooie.

It's funny I have all these modern games that I still have not taken the time to beat, Bastion, Iron Brigade, ME3 DLC, Skyrim, and so on, and all I want to play is Halo 4, and Banjo-Kazooie. Figures.

With all this THQ talk I've been wanting to play No Mercy. It's a shame a HD remake wasn't made.

A few days ago it was Jak and Daxter, wanted some platforming goodness and it delivered like it used to

Got a sudden urge to play Pokemon today, its been ages....even tried to fix my hacked psp since i couldn't find my GBA. Im gonna catch em all....even if i have to play fire red omega

I always go back to RE4 and play a little bit but haven't beaten the game in a long while. Most of my cravings for old games I rarely get through the whole thing again.

I watched the avengers a while back, that immediately made me want to play 'Captain America and the avengers' for he genesis. That game maybe wasn't the best game in world, but damn it was a fun game.

Knowing that Zombi exists makes me want to play it, despite never having played it in my life. I suppose any DOS-era game can do that to me.

Yoshi's Island. Love the art style and gameplay one of my favorite SNES games I own 3 box copies :S

To be fair, people have been playing it pretty fast and loose with my outlines (myself included). Hell, @buft seems to have gotten it completely in reverse.

nah man i havent played KOTOR since it came out so i replayed through it and KOTOR 2 late last year

Playing through MGS right now, so yeah.

Blue Dragon. Yeah, it wasn't the most engaging or well-written JRPG of all time, but I had a lot of fun with it. Currently about to beat Disc #3.

A few months ago I was playing Turtles in Time every day. Ahh, what a great game that is.

That was such an awesome game.

My brother and I played it up to the water world and became lost in the tunnels. Eventually we got a little further, but I'm pretty sure the same thing happened again later.

Man, I want to replay that...

Speaking of, I get a huge rush to replay Shadowman every year or so. There's just something about that game that cements it as one of my all-time favourites. Similarly with Perfect Dark.

This right here. I had written off Skyrim and its DLC (or at least my own desire to play more of it) after playing the vanilla game for almost 250 hours. I sold my 360 copy months ago, but when I saw/heard that, well, let's just say my Steam account will be a little more Nordic in the very near future.

I play Final Fantasy IV - X roughly once a year.

Not everyone just one or two.

I also play Metal Gear Solid fairly regular

Sometimes, I just want to play a Return of the Jedi arcade cabinet. Just one more time.

There once was a company called CinemaWare that was making great games way ahead of time. That eventually killed the company too. I would love to play their games again, but even computers from those times are hard to find (the 80's), gangster, horror, sports, they did it all.

I've been itching to replay Final Fantasy Tactics due to remembering that I never finished it. Also to a lesser extent Threads of Fate and Brave Fencer Musashi for some reason.

Pokemon blue....got my gameboy on right now but might switch to a emulator my eyes are not as use to gbc screen anymore.

I had the biggest urge to play Resident Evil 2 again this summer.

After watching a marathon stream of Pokemon games I suddenly had the urge to play Pokemon Yellow. Haven't gone ahead with it yet but I am thinking about it.

Monkey Island! At least once a year I go back and play through all of it. (Except Escape from Monkey Island, insult fighting system in there gives me a headache)

Last weekend I played through REmake, its still awesome. I'm amazed by all the little details they added to that game, like when you're in the mansion and running on the carpet and little plumes of dust get kicked up with each step you take. And just the level design in general is amazing.

I usually avoid the temptation to replay the PS1 era FF's. You think its a good idea, but it totally, totally is not.

I've been trying to fix my start button on my SNES controller which gave me a reason to play Cybernator for a little while last week. Got up to the mission with no lights and the random centipede sub boss. Still a annoying level apparently at least for me.

@Yummylee: It's probably heresy but I like the UC remix better.

And now Farewell King Hyrule is doing this for Wind Waker.

I just played the Legend of Druaga recently in the NES, I never knew how this games was so addicting. I still enjoy it today.

Jeff's recent tirade against Nights caused me to dig out my Saturn and Nightspad(?)

That game remains awesome. I understand why it bewilders most people, it does a terrible job of explaining itself.

Crazy. One of those songs where as soon as it's playing I can hum right along.

For some reason I've been wanting to go back to Breath of Fire 2. I've never actually finished it, so yeah...someday.

I replay Bioshock every year with a new friend who hasn't played/doesn't know the twist. Not exactly nostalgia, but that's how I keep that game alive for me.

Well good on you. Blew me away on the first play. Haven't played that game since back when it came out.

dunno if it counts but playing the Dragonborn DLC and having all that morrowind music kick in, and hearing the silt striders call. MAN that took me back.

I wanna play Burnout 3 so bad.

I saw Jet Grind Radio sitting amongst my list of downloaded PSN games and felt a strong urge to play through some levels. I love that game to death, despite the fidgety controls.

Just yesterday I discovered that my PS2 was not entirely broken and I've managed to test some of my old games and a rush of nostalgia flowed through. God Hand and Viewtiful Joe were only just the few examples. There was a moment of giddiness and bliss remembering the times when I used to play games from dusk 'til dawn.

I'm listening to the Shadow of the Colossus OST now, and its just constant nostalgia. Also has to be the best soundtrack to any game ever, I might add.

Before that, I saw a video on Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation and that was great considering I forgot all about that game.

For some reason, playing Ni no Kuni has made me go and buy a copy of Final Fantasy X, a game I hated when I first played it.

I'd love to play my DS copy of Chrono Trigger but Patrick and Ryan put a nail in that plan. Why play it when I can watch them Rick Rolling Bobo?

Almost every winter I have a urge to play the original Max Payne I find the snow atmosphere in the game soothing.

Salivating over the EU release for Ni no Kuni. Reminds me of what it feels like to be excited for JRPGs again.

I guess. I think about replaying games like MGS3 and Xenogears like every week or so :P. I have also had the title music for the original Legend of Zelda stuck in my head since I was like 8 years old and don't imagine I will ever forget it or how the title screen was so f'ing bad ass back then with it's day to night fading, cool music, animated waterfall, and glowing triforce thingy.

Battletoads - after many tries, we finally passed the jet ski level - I'd never in all my time playing the game, seen past that point.

Unfortunately, only more gaming torture lay ahead.

I recently purchased the Leisure Suit Larry collection (The Al Lowe ones, relax) and The Longest Journey off Good Old Games.

I went Metroidvania nuts the last couple of weeks. Played through Circle of the Moon, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow, Metroid Fusion and Metroid: Zero Mission. I forgot what a drag farming for soul drops in Aria of Sorrow was, and how freakishly hard Zero Mission is, at least compared to Fusion which is a walk in the park. Poison worms and shinesparking can kiss my ass. I may fire up the DS and play through the three Castlevanias there if I find the time.

Given how I'm now nostalgic for Final Fantasy VII, I'm pretty sure I'm just nostalgic for the 90s in general.
