Jeff knows his shit.
Whom wuld you send to defend video games in the next Fox New report?
@Gamer_152 said:I do agree, the guy maybe a liar, but even then he is a dreamer. I will give him that. Also the charisma helps too.never thought of Molyneux. That would be pretty great, i mean his charisma is OFF the charts, he lies to us EVERY day and we still believe him the next day :P.Shigeru Miyamoto or Peter Molyneux. I don't know how anyone could meet either of those men and still have rage in their heart.
I would send Jeff but I think I would also choose Adam Sessler. That guy can articulate his point well and also not step down to pressure.
Sessler is an excellent. choice. I would send him or Jeff.
@Akrid: Wow I've never seen that before. David Grossman might be the biggest asshole I've ever seen.
The Duke of Nukem.
Seriously though we shouldn't go there and defend video games because most of their discussions are biased and sending someone there will only give the headline "video games are bad" more screen time.
Any of the guys who wouldn't look like the "stereotypical gamer" in the eyes of FOX news. Like, you know, big.
But I would send Vinny for the sole reason that he would just sit there and laugh at their stupidity.
Gabe Newell, Will Wright, or maybe the lead designer or producer on Portal 2. Notch would be another one. But it would be important to put the lead on a FPS there as well. So, I'd say....one of the leads from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise and/or someone at Bungie.
There should be someone from the ESRB on one of these shows someday too. That way maybe they can shut up about M rated games targeted at 5 year olds.
No one, becasue just like Jack Thompson and Freddy Kruger they only have power when we acknowledge them. As long as we keep sending in "special guests" to defend these idiots they will keep doing it because it's ratings. When we tune them out they go away.
I said Jeff but after the comments Kessler would have been a strong argument too. Also notable people would be Jaffe and one of the Insomniac guys I forget who but he was talking about the California thing a few months back on X-Play.
- Brad is the most articulate of the bunch. He is also not fat, which adds more credibility to his arguments.
- Alex would be a dick. His overuse of the word "like" will not do him, like, any favours.
- Jeff's shtick would not be appreciated by super serious moms.
- Ryan would get "uh, uh, uh, uh, uh" thrown in his face, marking him as a psycho killer and destroying his credibility.
- Vinny is often grasping for words, even during Bombcasts.
I don't get why people don't like Mr.Caffeine. He wasn't great but he added humor to the press conference.
Anyway, I chose Ryan because he seems like he would argue really well.
I think that Jeff is the only one who would be aggressive enough to get anything said. I also agree with @Gearhead: about Adam Sessler.
Of course, Fox being what it is, even if this did happen they would find a way to stop our representative from ever making a point.
dnd the board game? or are we talking baldurs/neverwinter?

I'd probably send Vin Diesel. He is a Hollywood badass in every sense of the word, but he has also been a hardcore D&D gamer for most of his life.
Honestly, I'd really like to see Anthony Burch in a scenario like that, he's mad passionate and articulate about games, also not afraid to call bullshit when it rears its ugly head.

He could be a good choice. But I could also see him being volatile when some "attacks" video games.
Possibly Felicia Day. On TV, presentation is as important if not more so than actual arguments. I personally have no problems with how game journalists look, but the reality is people are going to watch it and say "oh, a male overweight gamer" which will fulfill their physical stereotype, and from there on will trigger their other stereotypes about gamers as well, no matter how well the argument is presented from the game journalist. Felicia Day has proven in past interviews that she is both knowledgeable and passionate about gaming, so she could probably deliver as good of a defense as anyone, and in addition looks "presentable" in the mainstream sense, thus avoiding stereotypes. She also doesn't have any embarrassing or salacious parts of her past that could possibly be used to slander her or misdirect the conversation, and these attributes together would make her an ideal candidate in my mind.
- Somebody well-respected from the production side of things. The Bioware doctors maybe, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk. ID's John Carmack. The Sims guy, Will Wright. That beautiful Franco-Canadian elf, Jade Raymond.
- Somebody who won't be shaken by asshat opinion makers pushing and shoving their onedimensional BS hogwash down the general populus' throat and has a prooven passion for making games.
- Sobebody who knows how much art goes into making a game (like every recognized artform obviously and then some) and can stand up and say: 'If you put a ton of paintings and music and whatnot into a game, clearly there is a chance of the end-result being art and not just shit. Not everything gets lost in translation always. Sometimes the games we create are greater than the sum of their parts. The parts already being art.'
- Censorship of entertainment is like censorship of dreams. I cannot be done. Something's gonna give if you try. It just cannot work.
Yeah - that's about it. Then again. Opinionmakers won't let the industry have their say, if they're deadset on fucking with it. They'll just do interviews until they find the one guy making a shitty case or just cut all the good stuff out. Luckily gaming is big business in America. So I wouldn't worry too much. It's worse in places like Switzerland, where it's practically non-existent outside of publishing and retail. The risk of unopposed onesided coverage is much higher, as is crippling censorship. Here's me hoping no crazy person playing videogames (chances being high and increasing that anybody is into videogames) starts shooting people indiscriminately around my parts, giving grounds for a videogame witchhunt...
Alex! I think he could be a great representative. Have him prep by watching terrible Netflix movies so his rage is even higher. And then throw in some Kirby's Epic Yarn and Luigi's Mansion 2 to make him love life again. It'd be a great argument.
I'll go. I'll outFOX them.I'm trying to remember that bird that the fox outsmarted by making it eat out of a plate... help me out here
I would say Gary Whitta
