@mirado: Yeah i just saw the empty list and got real sad,hopefully there'll be more.
Bombardiers Sans Frontières - Giant Bomb's MGSV Alliance!
@croppyjamal: My assumption is that, as we get closer to release and especially the first few weeks afterward, we'll see a real explosion in users on all platforms. Even the PC or PS4 only has 20+ members, which for a site as big as GB with a whole feature dedicated to Metal Gear, is still quite small. I know not everyone is into the idea of PvP or even hooking a lot of people into their friends list, but I imagine there's a couple hundred minimum who are both active on the forums and buying MGSV, and like the idea of having some duders to watch their backs.
Once everyone sees how fun it is to steal each other's goats or whatever, even the 360 should have a good number of people willing to jump in.
@heaveninblack: This is you, correct?
SuperJoeUK on Steam. Would love an invite to the group!
Both the idea and the name are great!
My PSN is johnymyko. I'm currently on PS3 but will most likely buy a PS4 somewhere between now and MGSV's release.
PSN/PS4 - TanookiSuit01
Pretty sure this is going to be what I'm playing for the rest of the year...and Fallout 4, but that's in November.
You can always count on Oddman (Me), to feed your dog when you are away. Just don't name it something stupid, like all those bad parents who are dooming their children with names based on characters from "Game Of Thrones".
My PS4 Online Handle is: Oddmaniac.
But for real, if your Dog is named Jon Snow or Khaleesi, I'm going to kick it.
See you on the battlefield!
If you are on Steam and didn't get a friend request/invite to BSF from me, send me a PM and I'll sort you out. I should have taken care of everyone posted before this. Also, PM me if your info in the chart is wrong, especially if you are on PSN as I have no way of checking that.
I may have to move these lists to a google doc or something, as it's getting kinda unruly.
psn= xPr0ject_Mayhem (I can't wait to change that)
xb1= the tolman
haven't quite decided which system to get it on yet.
Steam ID: lucky_flame
@the_tolman: Get it on XB1 so poor @croppyjamal can have a buddy. :D
After Batman, I'm reluctant to pre-order. Buuuut new metal gear, so...

I'm JondanDex on PS4 and Double Frogman (http://steamcommunity.com/id/Jondan) on Steam.
Waiting through the next few weeks might just be the end of me.
Yo, you got some privacy settings on PS4 so I couldn't send you a request. If you are getting MGSV on PS4 you may want to fiddle with that.
I sent everyone else an invite. Hope you guys are into getting your shit defended. I'VE GONE ALL IN.
@sizzlerxanadu: For what it's worth, Ground Zeroes ran beautifully on PCs with only a few minor issues that I'd assume they'll iron out given the amount of time and volume of feedback they've had since then.
(Also, I got TPP as a Nvidia code, so I'm not out a cent if it blows on launch anyway. :D)
If there's no nice clan set-up you guys could always try to include something in your emblems that IDs you as part of the GB Alliance. I have no idea how sharable that stuff will be.
I'll think about joining this, but I do also live in Australia. So you know, issues there.
@adequatelyprepared: We absolutely would love to have someone from Australia in the group, as this is currently all about FOBs, and those hinge on people being online when you are offline. The more timezones we have covered, the more likely it is that someone will be there to cover an offline member whose goats are getting nabbed.
As for MGO, the PC version is delayed out to January, so the console version will probably split off to its own thread and group since they'll have such a big head start, although whoever wants to set that up is free to use the same name. I'm purely Steam only, and the MGO idea is a current loose pipe dream; I'm not even sure how many people are going to be into separate multiplayer, but I know that everyone interested in MGSV will be playing the campaign and are way more likely to try a 1v1 mode that factors into your main base.
I'll know more about what I want to do with MGO when I actually know more about MGO, haha.
PS4 division of BSF is really taking off! Nearly as many members as on Steam, which is nice to see. Wonder if the Xbox's poor showing stems from MGSV as the first mainline entry on that platform, although the same can be said for PC and that's doing really well. Just not many Xbox owners out there, or people with both consoles choosing PS4 anyway? I wonder.

I still don't know quite what's involved with this, but I'm down for some base defending.
Primarily, we're interested in the single player's FOB gameplay, which revolves around 1v1 PvP invasions similar to a Dark Souls game, although contained in its own area and separate from your single player Mother Base. The idea is that players on your friends list can defend your base while you are offline, so by having an interconnected web of friends, you can all watch each other's back. Furthermore, if you spot the attacker during his infiltration, he gets added to your retribution list, and the retribution lists of all of your friends, allowing you to take back what was lost (and maybe a bit extra! :D). If you are interested in learning more, check out my post here, and if you'd like to see it in action, give this a look.
Once Metal Gear Online is released, BSF will become established in the world of multiplayer online stealth action, but as we have no idea if there's a clan system, and I don't know how many people are actually interested in a totally separate online mode, what that looks like and how we work it is up in the air. If you just want to take part in FOB stuff, that's cool, and if you want to head online and work as a team (once that's available), BSF will act as a great jumping off point to find duders that may be interested.
@mirado: I'd be down for playing MGO when it comes out, assuming it's not a total disaster at launch. The fact that it's pushed back, and the odds of Konami providing any real long time support for it have me pretty worried.
@atomicoldman: Yeah, that's another can of worms. My hope is that MGO lasts longer than its predecessors, but it seems unlikely. As long as FOBs are supported with a different infrastructure or are peer-to-peer, we should have a satisfying multiplayer component for a long time.
Won't be online often (due to work schedule), but I don't mind occasionally defending someone's FOB or having others protect the one FOB I plan to have up and running.
