I am happy it's summer time because I have more time to read. I read Angels & Demons (I saw the movie and loved it... turns out the book was better). What books do you guys like?
Anyone read books for fun?

Right now I'm reading Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison again. I don't think a book could be better. I know it's appreciated but I also think it's underrated regardless.
" I am happy it's summer time because I have more time to read. I read Angels & Demons (I saw the movie and loved it... turns out the book was better). What books do you guys like? "I read the book first and think that it was way, way better. One of my all time favorites, I'd even say.
The movie struck me as..."eh"...just like The Da Vinci Code. I just don't see Tom Hanks as Langdon. To his credit though, the character is built for a novel, and doesn't really have a personality that can be expressed easily in film.
Oh, and I'm trying to get back into the reading routine. It's proving to be tougher than I thought it would be.
I read more than I play games, I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to the books I read. My favourite authors are Alex Garland (The Beach, Sunshine, The Tesseract) and Hunter S Thompson (Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, Hells Angels, On the Campaign Trail). I'm currently reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. He is a very clever man, though his arguments are a little convoluted - perhaps by his rambling enthusiasm.
The books are always better than the films, although Mr Depp gave Mr Thompson a run for his money.
"We can't stop here! This is bat country!"
This is pretty much a duplicate of this existing Favorite Books thread.
