I really hope people get around this simple but yet important rules. It would make the forums a better place, until now moderators have done a great work; some threads were asking to be locked from the moment they first were conceived.

Good point. A little moderation is never a bad thing IMO. If every one could be mature on this site it wouldn't matter if someone post the occasional F'bomb. But people dont always act considerate.

Eh, glad we got some rules down.  Hopefully that'll solve some of the issues OT is having.  If it doesn't help, ban tools are coming soon.

I want this forum to be epic, and to an extent it has been, but there are so many spammers in here, that it's becoming absurd to the point where if Roll Call is going along nicely, I mainly just stick to that forum and that's it.

I appreciate what you mods are doing and I appreciate the rules, I just don't think the spammers are going to pay attention to the rules anymore than they cared that you locked their posts.

Simple enough. Posting here is a priveledge, not a right. If you start abusing your posting priveledges, more rules will be added. So just use common sense. The mods trust us to do this right now.

If you don't like these rules, then you can leave anytime you want and go to /b/.

Nice to see some civility return to the forums after the chaos over the last few days.

After listening to one of the E3 Bombcasts, and hearing Jeff talk more about the objectification of women in Soul Calibur IV than anything that has to do with the gameplay, I really wasn't surprised to read his thoughts on the half-naked women thread.  Knowing that objectifying women is one of the main issues the mainstream see with gaming, I can understand why he wouldn't want to promote that stereotype by allowing it on the forum.
