I don't like them, they're all pretty stupid burnouts who I have very little in common with. Anyone else ever have this same type of revelation?
I just realized something about my friends
Aren't you supposed to be in bed?" no. i'm an idiot and so are all my friends so we're all good "
" No, I came to the revelation that I no longer really have any friends. "Same.
Not to turn this into another grim thread but I felt the exact same way, which is part of the reason why I moved to Canada and now I'm here I've made some really good friends and the difference is remarkable. Tragedy is it'll all be for nothing when I have to go back home at the end of August.
Realized today that, of my group of friends, I'm the only one who seems to be aspiring towards anything in life. I'm going to college for a History Major, and 3 of the 4 of them dropped out after a single semester. Really makes me want to reevaluate my choice of some of my friends.
" Most of my friends aren't really good friends who care about me. I just have them so I can have people to do stuff with. "Sounds superficial, doesn't it? How can you enjoy doing stuff with them if you know they don't really care about you and you don't really like them? Or do you like them enough so that the time you spend with them is at least slightly meaningful?
My two really good friends and I are so tight-knit that I really don't give a fuck what they are. I know they'd have my back no matter what, in any situation. And that's what's really important.
" I do not have any friends for me to realize this about them. "I'll be your friend. Give me a hug. Don't mind me groping your ass or anything.
" Realized today that, of my group of friends, I'm the only one who seems to be aspiring towards anything in life. I'm going to college for a History Major "Good man, I'm a history major myself. The world needs more good historians.
The more I post on videogame boards, the more I realise I talk to simpletons. They either take themselves far too seriously or don't understand irony, especially when it's quite blatant.
It bores me now. People are stupid. And this assumption is just reinforced when I look to society in general.
Now that's what I call a friendship!" @crusader8463 said:

Friends made through the educational system aren't friends. They're people we like to be around because it's convenient - better than the alternative.

no i still have a really good friend that i can rely on. i have other friends that i can talk to at times but i cant trust them. its sad because when youre younger you have such a great group of friends but as you get older the number becomes smaller and smaller...
I have a few good friends that I know I can rely on. However yes I agree that truly good friends are hard to come by and that there are a lot of boring or simple-minded people. However people should not confuse this real problem with the other problem where the person affected by this may actually be the problem and not anyone else. That tends to happen too.
Who needs friends when you got Giant Bomb?" @rudeboy217 said:

" No, I came to the revelation that I no longer really have any friends. "I came to this realization when my girlfriend died earlier this year. She was the only friend I cared about. The rest of them are more so acquaintances rather than friends.
