Gran Turismo 5 is the fifth edition in the long running racing game series by Polyphony Digital. The game sports over 1000 vehicles, damage modeling on race cars, a dedicated television channel, lots of races, 16 player online multiplayer, and active weather.

I have lost all interest in this game with all of these delays. There are just too many others racing games that have come out since the last GT game, and I have had plenty of fun with them.
This will forever be remembered as a game with unlimited delays.
Who is going to use 75% of the cars in that game? Just because you can put the model t in it don't mean people want to wait months to use it once and then move up to the super cars.
So, did Sony lie at E3 just to get some press? Maybe try to help increase their dieing sales? What a joke.

Im sorry but this is stupid, i really want to play this game but now im not even thinking about buying it. I guess forza 3 will have to do as my racing game. And the fact that they wouldnt even comment about it being this year that is scary.
If I were a stand up comedian and there are comedy bars that people who play video games go to, including their dates, then my opening joke would be "So how about that Gran Turismo 5?"
Sony eventually saw how much content GT5 had in it and decided either: a. they need a new type of BR disc for it b. they will break GT5 into parts, with collectors editions, premium editions, rally edition, gokart edition, racing edition, nascar edition, etc.

Now that a current-gen Gran Turismo is established as a platform, yes, I'm pretty sure (and happy) that a 6th part will be released not very long (<3 years) after this one. An updated line-up, additional tracks, a little softening around the edges and whatever innovations they can come up with are more than enough reasons to justify that, too.
