Wait, so this is a live stream of a 30 second trailer? FUCK YEAH!
I heard a rumor that it's 1:07 minutes.
Also that it's San Andreas years after GTA3:SA.
We'll see I guess, I could stand to go back to San Andreas.
You were right. I like the setting, a little played out, but Rockstar knows how to keep things interesting.

Do not care. Rockstar is making another GTA game, the masses will love it, the critics will praise it, and I will not give a single F*** till it beats a good game for someone's GOTY award. Then I'll go ballistic (as always).
You can't be serious. No one can't be this much of a douche.
Go play GTA IV again, it's probably the most overrated game this generation.
Driving is bad, shooting is bad, save system is bad, no checkpointing, all the dating / friend stuff is annoying as hell, the writing is not very good, Niko's character makes no sense (his reaction when killing the first guy in a mission is like "darn, I wasn't gonna kill anyone"), he's a complete sociopath but they try to sell him as a real person. Doesn't work. The "humor" is completely out of place and doesn't fit with the tone of the game. No R*, naming an internet cafe "tw@" isn't funny nor is some clerk talking about sexual favours when I'm buying a burger.
I don't think you fully understand the concept of opinions.
Sure you're not talking about yourself?
I'm in the same boat. The only thing I liked about GTAIV was the cutscenes. Literally everything else about it made that game absolutely umplayable for me. I recognize that they did an amazing job crafting a city that detailed, but I had zero fun in it for 40 hours.
This game's story appears to just be GTAIV in San Andreas. Unless it's entirely different from all the other Rockstar games (and it won't/shouldn't be since a lot of people love them) I too will ignore this game until someone says it's Game of the Year. GTA IV is the single most overrated game of all time.
Does anyone remember Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? Am I the only one who remembers how amazing that was? It's as if people think since GTA IV was the last GTA game Rockstar made, that's the only type of game they can make next. Red Dead was in my opinion better than GTA IV, so who's to say GTA V won't be better than Red Dead?

Guys. It's fucking SAN ANDREAS.
Not just Los Santos, or Los Venturas.
ALL of it. San Andreas.
ALL OF IT.
plus mountains.
@Splodge: Not that hard. Compared to the first GTA 4 trailer which was dissected by 1UP a few years back (http://gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/16549).

What do I think? Honestly, I don't give a shit. The trailer just looked like more of the same old GTA. Unless they show something new - other than pretty graphics - I'm out.
You're still going to buy it.
its telling how much GTA has changed over the years. Im more looking forward to the narrative of this game, then the game it self.
Looks like a mod of GTA4, but being from los angeles it looks pretty spot on. I wish they would have waited it out until the new hardware came.
Wow this looks really awesome, I am digging the Los Angeles vibe. As fun as San Andreas was, I am glad this isn't set in the early 90's
I wasn't expecting much, but that trailer got me pretty excited. Can't wait to learn more about the game.
GTA has never disappointed me I look forward to finding out more but if it is true that the game takes place in modern day I will be a little let down because today's music is shit I like when they go back to the past I would like for this game to take place in 95 or 96.The guy putting up the foreclosure sign reminds me of Samuel l Jackson in the movie 187 especially the way the house looks anyways I can't wait for this.

i'm not so harsh to gta 4, but yeah. humor, save system, dating/friend stuff, the story.. all these things were pretty bad and they won't change much in 5 when i see a jetski called "speedophile"
Well, it looks like a GTA game.
No more, no less.
I don't think there's much more one can say, I'm sure it will be a great experience but I kinda lost interesst in the series after IV disappointed me so hard.
This GTA has me more interested than any GTA before it just based visually on the environment alone. That being said, I have yet to complete a GTA because I consistently lose interest before the end of the game. Hopefully this one changes that for me. Also, please better driving.
Definitely up for it but can't help but be a little disappointed the protagonist sounds so cliched. All the rumors they were finally going to do a female lead probably didn't help, but even so, a career criminal trying to go straight but he just keeps getting pulled back in? That is a little overly familiar at this point. I'd be more interested in a dude dabbling in crime for the very first time. That isn't new either but at least its a slightly different angle.
But hey, airplanes are back. So I'm in.

Release in late Spring 2012. That's how Rockstar rolls.
I want to believe that as well, but releasing it so close to Max Payne 3 is not likely. My guess? Winter 2012 / Spring 2013.
Never beat a GTA and this looks just like GTA4 with the voice of Frank West. Boring, but I am willing to put money that it is getting 5 stars.
Here is my guess at the deck of the review "Even though it still suffers from many of the same gameplay issues that hurt GTA4 in hindsight, the change of location and the amazing story create an experience that shouldn't be missed."

I'm taking GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption as a precedent. They pretty much went from announcement directly into release within just a couple of months. Both those games were announced around this time and released in spring.
It's not that he's butthurt, it's that you're annoying as fuck, bro.@nail1080 said:

Nope... this trailer did nothing for me. Not gonna play this GTA either...
This is great to know, maybe you should post on more GTA related stuff when they hit the site and tell everyone how you don't care then too. It's very fascinating to know these things
Butthurt much?
You don't see me going around the Street Fighter forums repeating the fact that I dislike it, and god knows I fucking hate it. So take a hike.
really wished it was set in vice city again but eh whatever. this made me want to go back and finish grand theft auto 4, damn that game drags on and on.

I had great fun with the ps2 trio, but true enough, I never beat any of them now that I think of it.
GTA4 was just a poor excuse for a GTA-game, but maybe 5 can win me back.

Well, the first trailer for GTAIV was released in March 2007, and the game wasn't released until April 2008. The first trailer of RDR was released in February 2009, and the game wasn't released until May 2010...

You are so touchy. I just said that they haven't done anything to make me like the game. It's not like I said, "Oh man, this game sux. Rofl @ the people who like GTA games. They suck."
Just chill out, bro. Or noone is allowed to post even vaguely negative posts any more?
Looks good, and I hope the speculation about that being an aging Tommy Vercetti is true, because I loved loved LOVED Vice City and would really enjoy the chance to finish Tommy's story. The narration might even be Ray Liotta, but he's gotten that much older now it's kind of hard to tell.
And planes and jets being added is a great bonus too.
