A prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, chronicling one of the most cataclysmic events of the Halo Universe through the eyes of a squad of Spartan super-soldiers known as Noble Team. It is also the last game in the series developed by Bungie.
(Edit: i had a change of heart from my first impression, i enjoy it more now, still a lot to complain about) i've only played a few games, and this game has the weaker sparten 3's. But here is my list of complaints 1. Burst weapons become useless with rapid fire (shouldn't have to wait for accuracy in a halo game) (Edit: when you get used to it, it gets a little better, and team swat involves a lot more skill) 2. beam rifle is waaaaaayyyyyyy to overpowered (still agree with this) 3. Armorlock ruins the flow of combat (you are about to kill someone when he becomes invincible for 8sec ) 4. Assault rifle is still pretty weak like halo 3, making the pistol a better choice at times (Edit: Ar is still good though) 5. Didn't care for the gametype where you collect flags and put them in the circle (was pretty lame) I know this is just a beta and i shouldn't judge it, but my first impression is pretty low

i didn't really pay attention to them, but i wasn't impressed with them at all, they were good but not great your right with the lighting though, it is pretty nice

Anyone who compares the load out system in Reach to CoD is an absolute moron. I'm sorry but there is no hope for you, and please don't reproduce. I love how the OP bitches how Reach is moving towards CoD and then states he is going to play Battlefield. LOLz. The new class system is exactly what CoD is, you can even get stopping power.

i made an error, you dont regain your shields and your kinda right but its not as intense as two people on either side of a bubble shield to the point where the two can still fight but you have a point

Looks like Halo 3, plays like Halo 2. I like it a lot. It would be more fun with some friends though. For some reason people think that every mode is Team Deathmatch, and don't understand the concept of capturing flags.

I actually played Halo 3 yesterday and it still looks pretty good. It is a game that has aged well so far.
I wouldn't judge it by a early release, after all: They haven't opened up most of the beta game modes yet. Come back when you give Spartans vs Elite a try.

THIS Oh my god, just got in a couple hours when I should have been fixing my magnum opus due tomorrow. Fucking love this game. It's like all the best parts of Halo made better with more. The DMR is freaking legit. So stoked I got a code from GB. This site rocks.
My only real problem is the biggest problem for me. The way I play the game has been completely nerfed. I play Halo with the AR and my fists. Both those things are way less powerful this time around. It's turned me from a ruthless killing machine to pretty useless in a lot of situations.
I'll agree on the Armor Lock thing, though I do like using it. I think 1 Flag CTF sucks hard, though. It's always at the top of the list so it almost always gets picked because idiots are in the Armory when it says to pick the match type.
Other than that I guess I'm pretty happy with it. Fun stuff. There's some weird balancing stuff to sort out, but it's a beta, so whatevs. Not like we're keeping our stats anyways.
I would kind of like it if the AR was a little more powerful, though. I feel like it takes for-fucking-ever to take a shield down. Kind of not so boner-ific.

Are you being sarcastic? lol. AR plus melee was not a good addition to Halo. Reach takes more skill than Halo 3.

Friends and Family codes, codes distributed through bungie.net, and Microsoft ExpertZone, which apparently decided between when I signed up and this week that they no longer needed to verify that people worked for the companies they said they did before they let them into the site.

uh.. did you play the Halo 3 beta? Many balance tweaks were made after that. The carbine, for example was ridiculously powerful.
As for the weapons, I actually like that many of them require finese and timing now. The pistol is more useful than the AR in certain situations, and that's how it should be. Each weapon has their own strengths and uses, it's no longer a case of the battle rifle being the only gun you need in any situation.
