Look like somebody is taking another shot at a Halo movie. As a big Halo fan, the Idea of a movie has always sounded cool to me assuming they do it right.

Heres that live action trailer Microsoft had made to promote Halo: Reach. I basically want it to be in a style similar to this.

Halo is quite suitable for a movie. Due to the series cinematic presentation, appealing art style, and rich lore. However, I still believe it's going to fall into the same trap as every other movie adaptation of a video game or video game franchise. Unless they hire talented and professional writers (not just some amateur who've they picked up from the streets) and who ever do the live action Halo adverts, then there's a possibility of a good Halo movie.

I'm still really bummed that the Peter Jackson/Neill Blomkamp movie didn't get made. Judging by how freaking amazing District 9 was, i think the Halo movie would have been the first really good video game movie to be made.

I thought District 9 was pretty good.

And yeah is does really suck that the Neil Blomkamp version never got made. I really like the style of District 9 and thought it would have worked well with halo.

Totally agree, the shorts he did were fantastic. I was so stoked for that project.

@wasteguru: Totally agree. But really, a full on CGI movie wouldn't be terrible either. With the visuals Dreamworks has been producing, I don't think it'd be half bad. Still, you'd need a good writer and director... Steve Cameron to direct, Eric Nylund to help write. Eh?

If it was shot in live action like in the Reach trailer, that wouldn't be so bad either.
