The follow-up to id's 1993 game Doom, and one of the earliest first-person shooters to make full use of 3D polygonal graphics and level design. Featuring a dark and gritty atmosphere inspired by gothic and Lovecraftian fiction, players traverse numerous dimensions in an attempt to stop the invasion of eldritch forces led by the mysterious "Quake".
The Material Defender returns in this underground 360 degree action shooter, this time retrofitted with a prototype warp core in his ship that will take him to distant worlds. The game features a new array of destructive weapons and berserk robots that ups the ante from its predecessor.
Considered one of the most competitive fighting games out of the entire franchise, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is an update to the third installment that brings back masked ninjas while tweaking character balances.
Fade to Black is a third person action adventure and the sequel to Flashback. You play as Conrad B. Hart who wakes up from cryosleep only to be imprisoned by his former adversaries, the morphs, in New Alcatraz.
Set in a post-apocalyptic Earthrealm (invaded by Shao Kahn's army of Outworld), Mortal Kombat 3 is the third installment of one of the most violent fighting game franchises of all time.
An official 2D fighting game adaptation of the Double Dragon series and the only game that is loosely based on the 1994 film of the same name.
After the events of Doom, Hell has found its way to Earth. The last living scientists develop a plan to evacuate what's remaining of the human race with enormous space ships. Unfortunately, the demons have taken control of the only spaceport, and it's up to the nameless space marine to take it back.
A side-scrolling platformer/shooter from Treasure. Its colorful art style and frenetic shooting action have earned it near universal praise.
A horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up that features 5 levels.
One of the earliest fighting games to bear the Dragon Ball license, adding new concepts to the burgeoning fighting game genre (including a roaming split-screen view for less restrictive playfields).
Nine martial artists from around the world compete in a tournament in Data East's first fighting game since the genre's Street Fighter II boom. It is best known for being the subject in a lawsuit due to its similarities with Street Fighter II.
Another character based platformer during the time when every company was trying to find their Sonic or Mario. Help Tinhead save the galaxy! Released only on the Genesis, developed by MicroProse Software.
Valis SD, known in the U.S. as Syd of Valis, is a retelling of the events of Valis 2 in SD form. It is a side-scrolling action game with multiple weapons and stages. Each stage ends with a boss.
A side-scrolling shooter known for its unconventional box art.
An early first-person role-playing shooter released by Arsys Software. Ahead of its time, it had 3D polygon graphics, FPS gameplay, strafing controls, open-world space exploration, and an epic sci-fi space opera plot.
Is that Conan? No it's Rastan - the video game version of Conan. Join him in his heroic adventures.
A side scrolling action game with a female protagonist. The original 1986 8-bit game was later remade for the Genesis/MegaDrive and the PC-Engine Super CD formats. It is (in a sense) both the first and last game in the Valis series.
Play as a flying dude holding a large cannon as he takes on giant mechs, flying mushrooms, and fire-breathing dragon skeletons.
