    Overview

Succeeding the Climax Heroes series of 2D fighting games, Kamen Rider: Climax Fighters adopts a new, 3D arena battle system, reminiscent of games like Gundam Versus or Dragon Ball Xenoverse. The game's roster consists mainly of primary Heisei Riders, joined by the secondary riders from the "Heisei Phase 2" (or Neo-Heisei) series (excluding the ongoing Kamen Rider Build, from which only the titular Kamen Rider Build is playable), as well as a single Showa Rider, Kamen Rider Black, in celebration of Black's 30 year anniversary.

    Editions

Much like the Battride War games, the standard edition of Climax Fighters does not include music from the TV shows (the OPs and EDs), forcing players to purchase the "Premium R Sound" edition to have these tracks in game. However, the game does offer several new options not seen in previous Kamen Rider games, in the form of separate versions containing English subtitles, Traditional Chinese subtitles, and Korean subtitles and audio. The versions available are as follows:

    • Japanese Standard edition (Japanese audio and subtitles, no TV music)
    • Japanese Premium R Sound edition (Japanese audio and subtitles, TV music)
    • Asian Standard edition (Japanese audio, Japanese and English subtitles, no TV music)
    • Chinese Standard edition (Japanese audio, Japanese and Traditional Chinese subtitles, no TV music)
    • Korean Standard edition (Korean audio and subtitles, no TV music)

    Trivia

    • Climax Fighters is the first Kamen Rider fighting game available on an HD console, as well as the first Kamen Rider game to be designed exclusively for 8th Generation home consoles.
    • Climax Fighters is the first Kamen Rider game (excluding Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight, which was based off the CW localized adaptation of Kamen Rider Ryuki) to feature an English, Chinese, or Korean translation, as well as the first to receive a dub of any kind.
