When I played episode 4 of 2015’s true Game of the Year, Life is Strange, I knew that I would never be the same person as I was before. Another interesting contained story of friendship 0
Not just fan service. Does not come off as a quick cash grab from the established fanbase of the first game. With that said it definitely feels like this game was made for that fanbase. The first episode presents the beginning of a contained story that is fun and interesting on its own. It showcases the beginning of Chloe and Rachels friendship. A game that is far better than it had any reason to be.Normally prequels, whether in games or in movies, aren't welcomed or worthwhile. This game breaks that stigma. The story line of Life is Strange: Before the Storm takes place before the events of the original Life is Strange but after the plot point of Max leaving Arcadia Bay. I appreciate the backstory they brought to life here and there were some interesting moments but this isn't a very good game on it's own merit.If you haven't played the original Life is Strange, go play that, it's fantastic; if you have, then you are probably going to play this anyway so this review is essentially pointless.The story is only partially successful, it has some touching moments, but they are buried under a heavy layer of nonsense.
