Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII Review
This may just be the last nail in Final Fantasy's coffin, I was actually really hyped for this game. In the end however the only good thing about this game is seeing the attractive Lightning Farron dressed like classic protagonist of Final Fantasy 7 Cloud Strife.
The gameplay managed to be worse then XIII-2, why the original Final Fantasy XIII was at least playable with a great story but lacked gameplay, XIII-2 kept the lacking gameplay but got rid of the great story XIII had, and now Lightning Returns made the gameplay worse and the story? what story. you mean that confusing bullshit that makes no freaking sense and ruins so much of XIII continuity.
Lightning Returns biggest disappointment was that it relied so much on the additional costumes and mostly on the pre-order Cloud costume which even got me to pre-order it. It shows that Square is not caring about game design and they think as long as they pull the heart strings of die hard, long time fans with nostalgic costumes based on characters from MUCH BETTER Final Fantasy games like costumes based on VI's Locke or the earlier mentioned costume of VII's Cloud which tricked several fans like me into pre ordering this trash that dares calls itself a Final Fantasy game!
In the end, Lightning Returns isn't worth the $50.00 it costed when it came out, Hell! it's not even worth $3.00! This is the Sonic 06 of Final Fantasy games. If your a fan of classic Final Fantasy or even fans of the first XIII, stay away from this game and maybe Square will start thinking straight.
