    The Little Things in Games

POSSIBLE SPOILERS     The game while it had many bad reviews has some decent qualities worthy of mention. when you first start out in the 50s the graphics of the buildings were spot on and the cars were decent enough, what really stood out to me personally was that attention to detail when you buy something on the street the prices from back in the era are used and as the game progresses over time it is ever changing. When i robbed a store and shot the clerk after i left and came back there was police and crime tape across the door, this seems like something new that i hadn't seen in many games like it "godfather"series or "GTA" franchise. they definitely have something in the interaction between NPC's and the open world.  However they lacked in the game play area they have a big open world with seemingly nothing to do if your not doing the missions buying something or just plane shooting people in the street it gets a little boring in some parts the collectibles are not always around in the world either so unless u get them while your in the mission you have to play through the mission again to get it this is tedious if your a completionist like brad shoemaker, now many games like Gears of War and Call of Duty have the same thing where u have to play mission twice or three times to find collectibles but those games are not open world, GTA 4 when looking for pigeons in Algonquin you can go find them at any point and that's what really lacks when you play this game. Some of the missions are arguably knock offs of the original GTA style. it needs to be somewhat longer and there need to be more options. it also seems like money inflation is not addressed, i was given 400 dollars for doing a side quest of stealing cars and when you come back years later and do it again you get the same amount even tho prices have gone up. there are a limited amount of guns you can but for the first half of the game and it seems that they had thought the open world graphics through so much that when it came time to release the game they rushed the story mode and didn't find uses for the big world you are allowed to roam through. Close But no Cigar 2k keep the graphics and work on the story and game play.

      A Worthy Sequel 0

It's been a while since I wrote an review for a video game. However, so called critic reviews of Mafia II have influenced me to write one about this open world game.  Mafia II is the sequel to a game called Mafia. It was an open world game in a classic gangster movie setting. Think films like the Godfather, Goodfellas, Once Upon a Time in America, and you get the idea. The game was first released on the PC, and after critical acclaim, console...

A very good game despite the flaws 0

Mafia 2 is the sequel to the highly rated Mafia:The City of Lost Heaven. initially the game is set in 1943 before moving on later to 1951 and tells the story of Vito Scaletta, the son of Sicilian immigrants. The story is well written and for a change doesn't glamourise the Mafia, in fact Vito comes across as the tool of those with real power, someone who will do whatever his masters tell him to without question. This makes a nice change from the usual rags to riches stories we're used to. Later...
