At $5 a pop that's way too much for 14 more characters.

even though its 99% sure to be fake, I would be fucking pumped for Phoenix Wright, just because he has displayed no fighting prowess whatsoever and you're going to put him against characters like the damned Hulk.

DLC along these lines would not surprise me. Every reveal leading to release and the final roster seemed tailored for Marvel characters I don't give a damn about. It's a decent game, and I've enjoyed it a bit. The Marvel characters may appeal to comic fans, and a few are fun to play. But I don't find a single one of them interesting. I usually prefer the Marvel characters, but every character I enjoyed in the previous games has been overlooked. No Gambit, no Omega Red, no Sabretooth, no Colossus, no Cable, and no Blackheart, no Venom, and no Onslaught (the first four of which I'd easily pay for). I'd like to see Beast, Mister Sinister, Ghost Rider, Pyro, Nightcrawler, Bishop, Mystique, Carnage, Blade, Mojo, The Maple Leaf...  I know very little about comics, but I'd be interested to see what they could do with these characters.
 
The most glaring, unforgivable omission, however, is Howard the  Duck

Also, if they are continuing the trend of five-dollar DLC characters, then I don't want to be Alexander.

I doubt Wright is coming. However Doc Oc I can get behind. Elektra maybe. I don't think another Darkstalkers character is coming neither is Mega Man X. 
 
Still, where is Hawkeye?????????????

I would love for all of these characters to join Capcom's roster, however I just recently purchased God Hand for ten dollars, and bought Mega Man Anniversary Collection for seven; if these characters really do come out, and cost five dollars a piece, I will be somewhat unhappy, though will almost definitely spend the money of them.

if the list is fake, i still think most of the characters on the list are gonna be DLCs

I know it's a bit I'm a bit insane for suggesting this but it would be great it we got some characters from Akria or M.I.B. Think about Agents K and J vs C. Viper and A. Wesker or Tetsuo vs Phoneix.

Yeah, my fanboyishness blinded me to the obvious fakeness of this list with Phoenix Wright, Mega Man X, and Strider being on it. 
 
I still want some Ms. Marvel though.

April 1st should be called April Get Disappointed By Falsehoods Day.

The most telling thing about the list wasn't who was on it, but how many people where on it. at 5$ a piece it would be 70$, and the roster would balloon from 38 to 52. The balance issues it would present would be enormous; Capcom would have to account for all combinations of DLC characters and the vanilla roster. Let alone the time it would require to build, balance, and QA the characters. It would be years before all the DLC would be out, by then all the casual players will have moved on, and Capcom couldn't count on the hardcore player base being big enough to support the work that it would cost them in developing that much DLC.  
 
I think It would be vary unlikely to see more 6 new characters at the most.

Well, if the leak may be fake, i'm fine with it for as long as they would still have Apocalypse, Juggy, Phoenix Wright and Mega Man X.
