Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

The Metal Gear series has been the reigning champ of stealth action games. Ever since the release of "Metal Gear" in 1987,game designer Hideo Kojima has been famous. The latest game in the series Metal Gear Solid 4 will tell of the final fight to save the world by Snake.

Story-Story in any Metal Gear game has always been the focus. This game tells of Solid Snake or just Snake's last fight to save the world again. Well, I guess we should call him Old Snake now since he is suffering from premature aging.Snake has to save the world from his brother Liquid and his evil plots. The story may seem generic but this story is very complex when you get in the game. Beware, the cutscences in this game are very long. Some being over one hour long. But they are exciting to watch. All the unanswered questions from previous games are answered. Old characters such as Otacon and Raiden make an appearance. New characters are also introduced such as Drebin who sells you weapons. The story in this game is one I wont forget and gets a perfect 10.

Graphics-I dont even know where to begin here. The graphics are the best I have ever seen. The cutscences are a joy to watch though they are long. The same graphics in the cutscences are in actual gameplay.MGS4 truly pushes the PS3's hardware. So much detail is in each scene and I experienced no frame rate drops. The voice acting is well done and the actors really seem passionte about their roles. It is the best voice acting I have heard in a game. The graphics in MGS4 get a 10.

Gameplay-The gameplay in MGS4 is the thing which got the most improvement. The shooting has been greatly improved and seems like a normal shooter. But the main focus of MGS4 is still stealth.New items such as the OctoCamo, which is a suit that automatically changes to the color of your surroundings, helps. Drebin is another key thing to the gameplay as he lets you purchase new weapons and add attachments to them. The Boss battles are epic and really make you think. There is one more thing I want to talk about here, multiplayer. The multiplayer was not even needed but Kojima added it anyway. It is pretty good but not the focus of the gameplay like in Call of Duty or Halo. The story is the focus of the game and the multiplayer is just a nice addition to a great game by Kojima. The gameplay gets a 10.

Overall-This game is fantastic. It has the best story in any video game that I have played. It also has the best graphic I have seen.If you have a PS3 GET THIS GAME.It is by far the best game on the PS3. So much care was put in this game and it shows.A phenomenal singleplayer and some solid multiplayer gives it the overall score of a 10/10.

    Story-10
    Graphics-10
    Gameplay-10

    Overall-10/10

It pretty much answers every question you had on its previous entries. Metal Gear solid 4 has been completely re hauled in the gameplay department. It plays very different from it's predecessors. MGS4 blurs the line between cinematography and gameplay. 0

Metal Gear Solid has always been praised (and sometimes bashed) by it's long cutscenes, movie-style cinematography and mind bending plot twists. Metal Gear Solid 4 continues this trend by not only reaching this goal, but by blasting it into hyper-space. But what hasn't been done well in a Metal Gear Solid game is a perfect control system, an in-depth and varied gameplay and intense action, to which Metal Gear Solid 4 not only improves upon these elements, but perfects them.Snake's final chapter ...
