People online and IW killed this game...
So Infinity Ward killed this game as all of their maps are maps everyone can camp everywhere, except of course, for Rust. But leading to that, what in the blue hell were they thinking when they created Rust?
Also, the people online just do nothing but camp, or run around with Akimbo Models, which have a freakishly long range for shotguns, good job infinity ward.
What do you think people do, or Infinity Ward did to ruin this game? Do you plan on still playing it?
Can't blame the people playing online using what the creators put in the game.
However I think it's far from ruined, very far.
I actually like it, which is something because I never liked the first.
Still don't understand all these complaints. If you get killed by a camper, go fuck him up. If you can't, you deserve to get killed.
And the models have been nerfed now anyway.
everyone in the game camps, and shows no skill. which annoys me, becuz it ruins it for me, since im actually good at the game, and dont have to camp like a bitch.

In order to get the most out of Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer (and minimize lcd-punching rage), you must accept the golden truth.
Say it with me:
"Modern Warfare 2 was designed to cater to people who are cheap."
Very good.
When MW2 first went online, most didn't know the maps or what synergy each perk had with different play styles. It was fun, much like how MW1 started. Then it got bad quickly because people learned which perks complimented which styles. The knifers came. The akimbo shotguns came. You already know the snipers came. Also while I'm on the subject of MW2: what's up with SMG's being completely useless now? Either give them some advantages over Assault Rifles or take them out, Infinity Ward. Anyway - the best thing you can do is commit to a style that is catered to by the perks/equipment. I hate knifers and campers, so I always use a Noob Tube + Danger Close Pro now. Now they rage more, and I rage less. In the end, whatever levels the playing field I guess *shrugs*.
Hope this helps.
i do show skill and kill them. which makes it funny cuz i keep checking there and they keep going back. it just ruins the fun when everyone on the enemy team camps.
"This is what COD4's multiplayer was like so you should have known what MW2 would be like.everyone in the game camps, and shows no skill. which annoys me, becuz it ruins it for me, since im actually good at the game, and dont have to camp like a bitch.

What do you think people do, or Infinity Ward did to ruin this game? They let your bitch ass play it!
But in all seriousness, they nerfed the akimbo 1887s. Also, camping is a viable strategy. I like that the maps are more sniper friendly, as I myself enjoy sitting in one spot without firing a shot for 2 mintues. good times.
" @Falcon5008 said:Not quite. COD4 wasn't quite so affected by that... at least not to that level."This is what COD4's multiplayer was like so you should have known what MW2 would be like. if you dont like camping at all. like even for 5 seconds then maybe you should try quake or unreal, its probably way more your style if all you do is run around at full speed screaming shoot me
The game isn't ruined its excellent and the camping is nowhere near as bad as everyone is saying. I have literally no idea why this game is attracting all this kind of hate for having the same mistakes as absolutely every game (every single popular online multiplayer game has glitches, cheaters and the other problems people whine about in MW2). It offers a great multiplayer experience and if the oh so l33t OP can't deal with it maybe its time to move on?

"AK47 with grenade launcher + RPG + danger close + scavenger = best class in the history of modern warfare bar none
The OP sounds like every other twelve year old kid online. Go play something else if it bothers you so much... why complain?
" @nanikore: that doesnt really help for Modern Warfare 2. Also, I dont have a ps3. not solved! "Your in a tough situation. The Xbox 360 does NOT have that many games others play besides COD. So it is not like you could just stop playing it and go play a different multiplayer? Try a single player game like Dragon Age or Assassins Creed 2.
What would really revive my hope in this game would be a tactical mode (I'd say mod but they took that fucking feature out of the PC...): No Dual Weilding, No Commando, No Lightweight, No Marathon, No Last Stand. You know, I want a more slow paced game primarily based on accuracy and your senses, like hardcore except without the perks I named. Little to no builds that use the element of surprise or simply outgunning your opponent face to face with dual p90s rapid fire or akimbo 1887s/Rangers. Yeah, there would be a lot of camping but it wouldn't be the kind where they hide in a corner and wait for you to pass.
If everyone camped, nothing would get done. If some people choose to play that way, it's their decision. If someone wants to stay in the same spot for a whole game, it's because you're letting it work for them. Sometimes it's smarter to hold down a certain area, especially if it keeps you from danger or if it racks up kills.
I don't spend entire games camping in one spot; in fact I'd say I run around more than I should. Many times though, having control of certain choke points gives a good advantage. Look at the center of Wasteland, the cave in Afghan, and the house in Estate.
Camping, if done right, is a strategy. There are ways to beat it.
Refer to this thread for more.
" Play some Killzone 2 while waiting for Bad Company 2. Solved! "Because Killzone 2 was a great game! /sarcasm (And yes I played it, first PS3 game I owned. I was sorely disappointed with how bland it was, and how poorly it controlled)
@Falcon5008 Honestly, if you don't like the game, fuck off and stop talking about / playing it. So many threads are created just to spread the bitch about MW2, it's a pretty tired subject. If a game's not fun, don't play it.
TL;DR SHUT UP PUSSY
Stop holding onto the sprint button, and look around before you run blindy into a new area. Oh no, I had to think to play a game! People don't camp in one spot the whole game. I've spectated games and people who attempt either get knifed, sniped, blown up, or get bored and move on. What these "campers" do is find the best choke points and attempt to hold it, just as Hughes said. They're fighting for territory and trying to hold onto it, which is constantly taken and retaken, like the House in Estate, the Hills on Afghan. People don't run into corners and camp, they go for spots. Figure out where the spots are and the game gets a hell of a lot better, I figured them out and it's awesome. Stop complaining about something that people do, it happened in COD4 ( Pipeline, Creek anyone?)
It can be frustrating, but what online game isn't when you get owned? Campers or no.
I enjoy the game, but I also wind up spitting all over myself in anger as I yell at my TV when I'm killed. It's the nature of the beast.
This is always a silly topic, there are campers in nearly every single multiplayer game. It's a good plan, if you like to run around and never stopping knowone is stopping you but maybe you should stop and think before you run blindly into a room, if your so good at the game your going to know were people camp 99% of the time so you should be well perpaired to deal with them. I find nothing wrong with camping, only people that do complain about them are the ones that seem to generally suck ass.
If anything you should complain about the retards that have no idea what there doing and just randomly somehow end up behind you to get there one kill of the game along with there 15 - 20 deaths.
The people saying wait for battlefield make me laugh, every battlefield has the very big problem of annoying spawn killers, not to say battlefields are bad games, I'm personally a big fan of battlefield and is probably by far my most played game series, but it's always had that problem, more so in the "gold rush" mode than anything else, least in conquest you can simpley click another point to spawn if your team has another spot to spawn at that is.
