Moon: Remix RPG Adventure is an role-playing title for the PlayStation that was the first in a trilogy of games created by the short lived developer, Love-de-Lic. The game was published by ASCII Entertainment in Japan on October 16, 1997 and a western release was announced at E3 1997 but it was eventually canceled for undefined reasons. Moon has since become a cult classic that is highly praised for deconstructing the conventions and tropes of the Japanese role-playing genre.
Many years later, Onion Games, a studio founded by Moon's game designer Yoshiro Kimura, released a direct port of Moon for the Nintendo Switch on October 10, 2019. The port is also planned to be released in English with the localization being handled by Tim Rogers, who had previously translated Onion Games' Dandy Dungeon.
