But even if they don't want Freddy, it's not like the season pass cost them more. If they weren't interested in the three previous characters, they probably shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

True, but I think most were expecting MK characters. The worst thing is that this will likely lead to WB pushing more guest characters into the next game as well. I just don't approve of this on any level.
I really hope they continue to bring in characters from completely random franchises, mediums, and genres. Next up: umm....Julius Caesar or maybe a Leprechaun!

This for me too. I'm thinking of buying it but goddamn...what? Maybe it's my extreme distaste in the movies but Freddy just seems fucking dumb. Even as a kid I never thought the movies were any good.
I'm a bit conflicted about the idea, too. I mean, I love Freddy as a character (I've not seen the remake, mind) and the idea of him being in the Mortal Kombat universe is not too bad a fit. But at the same time I can't help that niggling feeling that it's just advertising for another Warner Bros franchise.

Not what I was expecting, but I'm not disappointed with the character itself. Of course the Robert England version would be better, but the game play actually looks good.
...i am utterly speechless. This is the worst idea since.....forever. Oh well, at least the first 3 DLC's were pretty baller.
I love bad ideas like this. Why? Because when it (hopefully) falls on it's face, it will never happen again. If you don't like this DLC, don't buy it and we'll stop seeing it.
First 3 DLCs were good, but this DLC is not worth my 5.00.
On one hand, Jason is sure to follow because FREDDY VS. JASON LOLOLO. Beyond that, it's a slippery slope that could lead to Warner Bros. shoehorning in whichever goddamn character they want. I don't think I'd go back to Mortal Kombat if it turned into an interactive advertisement for Warner Bros. properties.

Well whatever I didn't really want another post mk3 character anyway. I think its a great idea even if im not the biggest fan of Freddy. Ya gotta admit though the guy is perfect, he certainly loves blood and violence.
Is there ANY character people WOULDN'T have been pissed about? Spoiler alert: NO! Look at the video: this isn't some half-assed cashgrab, he's got moves, he's got suitable Fatalities, work went into this. This is the EXACT reaction that Kratos got and it's getting a little tiresome. This is a hilariously awesome idea, frankly I'm thrilled and I couldn't be happier that my season pass is getting me this awesome addition for free.
I mean let's really look at this: who is awesome in the MK mythos beyond 3? It's Kenshi, it's Fujin (maybe), and it's...who? Almost everyone in 4 and on were just in there to fill the "new character" quotient. Would Nitara really have made this a cooler announcement? This is a great reveal, he looks awesome, and it's a fun character.
I can't believe people are actually bitching and moaning about DLC (and on top of that, essentially !!!FREE!!! DLC if you bought the season pass, because you're only paying for 3 out of 4) Anyway... he actually looks rad and I couldn't be more excited for this!!! :D It's just sad that the first page of this thread had to be full of hate because they probably NEED to find reasons to complain about anything to make themselves feel good. This isn't a waste of anything and I can't wait to play as Freddy. ^_^
