Really well cut together trailer and the silliness of the boy King's intro is very charming. He's the King of Ding Dong Dell you guys...Ding Dong Dell! So story book. Also, you know shit's about to go down when someone yells "It's a coup!". Great trailer. Could have used some gameplay though.

Bought the first game a while ago, but I'm not sure if I've even unwrapped it yet. Gotta fix that one of these days.

Wow, Ni No Kuni got fucking dark.

Okay, aside from the trailer mixup being hilarious: I was reading about this game and drowning in the memories just a week or two back so this announcement was pretty exciting for me. Say what you will about the first one being a slog or too grindy, I just enjoyed being in a well-crafted world on a goddamn PS1-era JRPG overworld, flying dragons around and finding secret islands/caves. Totally up for another round of all that good stuff.

This was easily my favorite announcement of the day. Although I didn't finish it, I looooved what I played of the first game and I'm pumped to see them being able to make a sequel.

Really loved the first one, and that trailer got me hyped to play the second. Hope it comes out in 2016.

my mind was in Rogue Galaxy mood thanks to the PS4 classics announcement so when he said "jrpg by Level 5" I was like oh, a Rogue Galaxy sequel, like what they did with Gravity Rush, announce both at same time. Neat.

Watch trailer and I'm like "wait this ain't Rogue Gal...oh right! Ni No Kuni, forgot they made that".

So excited for this. Ni No Kuni was one of the first games I got when I picked up my PS3 and I loved it. A great traditional feeling Jrpg with an amazing art style. Day one for sure.

I only got up to the fairy queen/mom part in the first. The game's good, and I like roaming the little towns, though as far as I've played, the story and voice work is somewhat disappointing, as I hoped it'd be (at least in terms of voice work) as good as Miyazaki's work, but instead, some of it is cringe worthy, and just not as effective as I would have hoped. Still, I think at some point down the line, I should finish it. This is pretty cool, and unexpected, at least to me.

I am really excited for this. Loved the first and this looks great.

If they find out how to get that combat less annoying, this could be really good. The presentation of the first game was top notch already.

I got pretty fucking excited for this, was just about the last thing I expected. I need to go back and finish the first Ni No Kuni but I don't really want to get the PS3 out.

Looks like no Ghibli involvement at all. Still glad the first one did well enough for them to warrant a sequel. Strange trailer though but animation looks smooth as shit, almost too smooth.

I did not love the first game, it overstayed its welcome and the story. If the Pokemon aspect is back I'll probably not jump right into this one.

I had some problems with the first game, like the party AI quickly burning through MP in one battle if left to its own devices, but it had a lot of charm. And pirate cats. I'm very interested in playing another one of these.

I think this game looks beautiful. I am hoping it's great in other areas! I had interest in Ni No Kuni for sure but I heard it was grindy and a huge commitment and never ended up getting to it.

Didn't the first one end up being a PS+ game? If so I might dig my PS3 out of the closet and download it. I never got the plat for that game.

Looks really, really good. The first one was cool story-wise and also had a great art style, but I didn't really enjoy the combat all that much. Still looking forward to this one.

This trailer has got me to dust off the PS3 and work towards finishing off the first game. I enjoyed what I played of it (something like halfway through from what I can tell) but it suffered from becoming very grind heavy at points. The grinding became even more painful as the other members of your party weren't great at managing their MP. In general I hate RPG's where your AI team mates are left to their own devices as their decision making overall is always bad. Hopefully this second one can tweak a few of those things because I thought the story and art style were fantastic.

@stinger061: The grinding isn't so bad once can reach the island full of monsters that give crazy xp. In fact, I think the game has a bigger problem of being way too easy to "overgrind." I had to restrain my exp intake so I didn't just faceroll everything.

I remember the AI being manageable as long as you don't just let them spam skills, but yeah, I hope they improve that end. There are plenty of RPGs that handle AI party members better.

I really liked Ni No Kuni.

A bit grindy in parts, but not the worst JRPG for this. I'm not a big JRPG afficcionado but I thought Ni No Kuni played pretty well and it was pretty damn charming

Wanted to play the first but never got around to it, but this game's voice acting seems kinda bad compared to what i saw of the first game.

Ni No Kuni may be the first JRPG I ever actually played all the way through to completion. Just, such a beautiful game, a delight to get swallowed up in and let the art style wash over you.

I was really disappointed by the first game. Mainly the lackluster/terrible combat (AI companions are never done well in jRPGs.) So probably won't pick this game up. It is very pretty though.

This looks great. It takes me back to the days when I actually liked JRPGs. I want to play this.

Really liked the first game, but a hard drive death lost my save file, but I was near the end and just watch my wife complete it ( who is much smarter about cloud saves than I ) Can't wait to play this!
