I ignored NG3: Razor's Edge after seeing the reception of Ninja Gaiden 3 and completely put Team Ninja out of my mind after the response to Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z. Even Ninja Gaiden 2, as slick and badass the combat was, I found to be pretty disappointing due to its technical and balance issues.

That said, I got to thinking about Team Ninja again cause of the positive things I was hearing of Nioh from some members during GOTY time, which resulted in me starting up Ninja Gaiden again in the form of Sigma. And let me tell ya in case you forgot, cause I kinda did, Ninja Gaiden is an incredible game. Regardless of what you might think about Itagaki, NG is a classic.

Anyway, I'm weirdly excited about Team Ninja atm so I was wondering about Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge. How is it, what's the deal with it?

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden is one of the best games ever made. I'm not crazy good at games, but I beat that original Xbox version (pre-Black) on Master Ninja.

I'm in the same boat, though. Ninja Gaiden 2 was really good, but not amazing. Ninja Gaiden 3 looked pretty iffy so I passed. I'm curious to hear what folks have to say...

Its still not great. Controls arent as responsive as they should be. Lots of enemies saying eff you. Lots of quick time events. Much harder too. It does some neat things with an unlock tree but its mediocore. If you can get it for cheap dive in, but its not ninja gaiden black by a mile
