Ninja Gaiden 3 Officially On The Way From Team Ninja
As previously reported, Team Ninja is putting together a Nintendo 3DS version of Dead or Alive called, cutely, Dead or Alive Dimensions. Details are still light at best, but we know it's a fighting title that focuses on the series' ongoing narrative. Details are even skimpier on Ninja Gaiden 3, the newly announced next installment in the lauded character action franchise. According to GamePro, the game is so early in development that the team only has concept art to prove its existence. But as you'll see, the art serves to show what the team is shooting for: blood and character. Also, ninjas.
Team Ninja hasn't dated either game, and Ninja Gaiden's platforms haven't been discussed either. More information on the latter will come "early next year," according to GamePro. As for Ni-Oh, yeah, that game's apparently still being made, too. More as it happens!

That's because for whatever reason they decided to get rid of a lot of the gore from the original Ninja Gaiden 2 when they made Sigma 2. The original was pretty damn gory." Sigma 2 was cool but a little more blood and gore wouldn't hurt. From the picture, it seems promising :) "
Anyway, new Ninja Gaiden game is no surprise. I just wonder how difficult Ninja Gaiden III will be (i.e. NG2 was easier than NG1, etc.)
" Sigma 2 was cool but a little more blood and gore wouldn't hurt. From the picture, it seems promising :) "Sigma 2 removed so many key elements from NG2 that it wasn't even worth playing. NG2 had FOUNTAINS of gore and it was actually a big part of the fun. It was a ballet of glorious violence and Sigma 2 just ruined all of that.
I hate to say it, but really all the Sigma games highlighted was oatmealface is a super key element into the series working and that a lot of Team Ninja people don't seem to "get it" if Sigma 2 is any indication of the direction this game will be headed. Other M stinking it up doesn't exactly restore faith in them either.
" @Grissefar said:If that is what ruined the experience for you, its kind of hard to argue...." Sigma 2 was cool but a little more blood and gore wouldn't hurt. This is interesting but I'm wayyyy more distracted by the Vampire wolverine right now....
" @Grissefar said:It's a better version aside from the gore change and it's not that bad since I still think OT's look very brutal." Sigma 2 was cool but a little more blood and gore wouldn't hurt. All the other changes are good, such as a new weapon, chapters, bosses and missions. But the lesser noticable changes are probably the best: tweaking the pace, enemy spawns, health gain, shop system, removing frustrating sections, puzzles and backtracking, infinite projectiles and guide feature that tells you where to go. In short it removes the cheap stuff and retains most of the legitimate challenge.
i agree with this. So I lost the gore but the balance was all over on the xbox version. Sigma 2 is a lot smoother play through and polished than the xbox. It's a better version aside from the gore change and it's not that bad since I still think OT's look very brutal. I can say the same about Sigma 1 also. The challenge is still there. I've played both version and the PS3 one is better but I do mess the Charging on the side weapons like the Bow and so on.
Also First person aiming and moving of the bow. Counters working like a counter.
If the Sigma team is working on it without itagaki I think it will be polished as the Sigma series.
I had a very fun time with Ninja Gaiden 2, and I'm looking forward to this even though Itagaki has left the building. Hopefully it'll be as crazy and gory as NG2, but they'll tone down some of the retarded stuff (IE: Yeah I'm sure CIA agents have DD and are dominatrix's).
why would they let us know they are making it when all they have is concept art to show us? frustrating!
More Ninja Gaiden?!!? Eek!
See, the problem I have with Ninja Gaiden games is that on the one hand, they're really fun and really good. On the other, they're so hard (and I'm so bad at them) that I struggle to beat them...on easy.
