So I'd like to hear your experiences with Streetpass, I haven't had much luck myself. Was walking around town on Saturday and although it was crazy busy, my 3DS did not pick up any other 3DS's, but I'll try again next week, maybe go to some game stores :-).

Streetpass Stories
Well, I've only found 1 Mii with Streetpass, and it turned out to be my friend that I ran into on my way to soccer (which he was attending) so I have little experience. I don't know if most people know, but you have to go into the Mii Plaza and turn on Streetpass. Mine didn't come enabled by default.
The title of this thread sounds arty somehow. I've had six interactions so far.
Your best bet would be to locate a mass/ or fairly sized one's online. There are already Facebook groups and Twitter pages devoted to it. Of course, your own location will play a major role in any opportunities you get, and if you live in an area where your chances are slim, taking it with you to areas which are densily populated with young people, is your best bet. Music festivals would be a prime setting, I can't wait for that in the Summer.
Dedicated sites will pop up eventually.
I would give it a while as far natural Street Pass. After spending some time with the trophy thing in SF, something which I mildly mocked beforehand, it's clear things like this will be popular with young gamers. I spent a ton of FP last night on the player slot machine and got myself a Level 7 Juri :P
I take a train & bus to work everyday and sadly I have yet to get any "streetpass notifications", so I assume I haven't encountered anyone with one yet. :( I'm really looking forward to it just so I can see that it's working and because I think it would be an interesting concept to challenge a passer-by to a game I'm playing.
I'm kind of surprised I haven't received any yet... I guess it's still too new...
I walked to the bus stop and back and didn't meet anyone. I intended on going into town, but the bus never showed up!
Still, got 9 play coins.
Not really took it out with me yet.
Im guessing they will tunnel the 3ds like they did with the psp and xbox using somehting like xlink kai or whatever it was called,
That basically let you play lan games for the xbox on the interweb and also let you play psp multiplayer games that usually required you to be standing next to the people you were playing.
I've had my 3ds in sleep mode primarily during my commute into work and back home. No hits on Monday and even after a lap around my office doesn't seem like anyone here at work has one. Finally got my first 2 hits yesterday while commuting home. One guy, one girl both of whom had pilotwings listed as their fav title. Definitely hoping for more hits to continue the Find Mii game.
"I spent a ton of FP last night on the player slot machine and got myself a Level 7 Juri. "This makes me want to purchase a 3DS now instead of waiting for a 3DS Lite later on.
Pick up a random girl called Kelsie in Oxford on my way to the hospital today! No idea who she is, but I found her between bus stops. Mind is blown.
UK Bombers, just go to GAME. they have one set up for StreetPass. I have a feeling it's gonna become a hub for StreetPass.
I've met two so far. One in Target and the other at the mall. Now I think I'll just start following little kids around.
None so far.
I am so going to PAX East next year. Just think of all the Streetpass-ing that will go down once some good games have come out.
The release was a bit unfortunately timed here since all the pre-secondary schools are on sprint break this week. I walk/take the bus to university (near the hub of the city) and carried my 3DS everywhere but no random hits yet. I don’t expect anything until next week and if not then then probably not until ownership has increased more (summer).
So I came across someone today. Got his Mii and did a SSFIV figurine battle with him. That was pretty cool. I won, by the way.
" No results all day. :( Didn't the 3DS sell like a zillion pre-orders or something? What gives? "They're all playing Pilotwings, obviously.
I've had my 3DS since Monday and walking around to my classes and errands in Sonoma county (dense for a rural area) I have so far gotten one mii coming to my plaza. I was quite excited by that single solitary unknown mii.
I don't actually have a 3DS yet, but I'm interested to see how StreetPass will work for me when I do get one.
I live in the city (Melbourne) right near a major train station so I'm hoping students/city workers have street pass on when walking from the station to wherever they're going.
I could just leave streetpass on while it's charging in my room and see how that goes... if it works out I'll totally post here.
this is a pretty cool concept but i dont think it would be effective in places like North America... well some people that posted up here had a few encounters so i guess its not that bad
More success on the train commute home again. 2 Mii hits (1 repeat) and 2 SF4 hits (1 repeat). Fared a little better in the SF4 figurine battles this time, won 1 out of 2 (lost to the repeat).
Although its only been a few days, Street Pass for SF4 has been a surprisingly cool feature. I actually sat there last night re-arranging my team looking at individual figurine stats. I'm anxious to get get more SF4 hits and see how I do.
Picked up four people just going into town today. Awesome. Only one repeat, too.
So, does anyone know how to beat the ghost with the shield in the little Mii RPG?
Got one streetpass hit the day after I got the system (while riding the train), but havent gotten any since, even though I carry it with me everyday : / However seeing that green light was pretty awesome :) Wish there was some sorta way to communicate with the people you meet through streetpass.
I ran into Robeson again today, as well as a girl named "kiwi". The last game she played was Face Raiders.
I turned on the Street Pass for the first time while I was at Wondercon and the first time I checked there were 9 people. As I went through the greeting part I had hit 2 more people. I'm an idiot and I hadn't turned on the SFIV stuff yet so hopefully I'll get some of that action tomorrow.
" Picked up four people just going into town today. Awesome. Only one repeat, too. So, does anyone know how to beat the ghost with the shield in the little Mii RPG? "Think you need a wanderer with the same color shirt as the shield and use magic, untested theory though, as I'm currently at the same stage...
