    Overview

    Picross S7 is a puzzle game developed and digitally published by Jupiter for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on December 23, 2021, in Europe on December 27, 2021, and in North America on January 10, 2022.

    The seventh mainline entry in the Picross S series (and the sequel to Picross S6), Picross S7 features a new set of 300 standard nonogram puzzles (for Picross and Mega Picross modes), 5 multi-part "Clip Picross" puzzles, 30 Color Picross puzzles, and 5 Extra puzzles. Some of the Extra puzzles now require play data from Picross S4, Picross S5, and Picross S6 (rather than the first three entries), and Clip Picross pieces can now be unlocked in Mega Picross.

    New to the series is touchscreen controls for handheld mode, as players can play the game with two alternate control styles: Touch (Hold) and Touch (Toggle). With both styles, players change the input mode with one hand using the buttons or thumbstick, either holding down for Hold or pressing for Toggle, while using the other hand (finger or stylus) to fill in the grid.
