After sticking at 32% for a while, decryption jumped to the end, but the servers are too busy to finalize installation. Now I'm posting pointlessly in a thread about practically nothing. hhnnggghhh

I am posting in this thread because I have to copy the game files to another computer, as the locked content wouldn't register properly on steam before the game got active. So have to wait a bit more before I play it on a proper PC and not a laptop.

And co-op gestures cost money. Seems kinda lame. If this stuff had been extra and added after the game had launched, ok. But to have this content ready pre-launch and charge for it? Meh. I mean, I won't buy it, but it's still something that seems a little backhanded. Meanwhile, at Valve.....

Yeah, I just decided to follow the link to the support page. In my experience that doesn't usually prove useful but it did in this case.

In any case that is some sage advice and I will keep clicking for about 5 minutes then I don't care.

Edit: Awesome. "Ignore the warning and keep trying" totally worked.

Anybody seeing big glowing error signs in game? It looks certain objects in the game are replaced with these ERROR messages and im not sure if its part of the game or not.

Nah, seems kinda gimmicky. Day one micro transactions? No thanks. I'm not paying $1.99 for a gesture called Atlas Shrugs that allows the round robot to...shrug. Maybe if this was something extra that was added in later, but day one? Meh.

Yeah, I got it on my computer now, took a long time to decrypt. I'll play it starting tomorrow. With all this hype, I want to be on the up and sober side of things, had a few beers and am thinking of bed.

I hope it pans out as good as the media machine is cranking out it is. well, PC Gamer anyways. I think GB has been almost but not quite been more into MK. Or at least there has been a sense of balance for these 2 attention competing games coming out the same day. I'm doing Portal 2 myself, but I kind of respect that.

I played it for about 10 minutes (all I planned as it is quite late) and it's great.

Very first room of the game reminded me of Oldboy. Also, I wonder... how many of you jump in response to Wheatley (outside where it tells you to of course)? I know I do a lot. He doesn't seem to hear me though.

Everything was going so great. The first chapter was classic... then I discovered there are TF2 hats in Portal 2. Now I have a robot that wears a Pyro beanie and I don't know what the fuck to think now.

I've probably put more hours into TF2 than any other game ever. And yeah, the hats are gimmicky. But they were added in after the fact. That's what annoys me about Portal 2. Gestures that the robots should kinda have anyways now cost $2 even though they were made before the game launched. If there are random drops somehow it will be less annoying, but still.

I totally agree about the gestures, but I feel the rage on the SPUF against the hats is in no way warranted or justifiable.
