Slang term for first-person party-based RPGs in which the player controlled 'entity' is meant to represent a party of individual characters, but is literally an invisible blob with arms and legs.

They can also be identified by their love for ale and gold. Other common trends for Fantasy Dwarves include being proud warriors, favoring axes as their weapon of choice, and being gruff sticklers for tradition and honor.
Elves are a race found in a lot of games based on a fantasy setting. They are recognizable by their elongated ears and often live much longer than humans. Some are even immortal. There are many variations of Elves.
Goblins are irritable, evil and mischievous creatures in folklore. They can range in size from halfling to average human size.

Orcs/Orks/Orques are a fictional race of tough humanlike creatures, often with green or black skin, originally coming from the Saxon word for the Normans during the invasion, meaning demon or foreigner.
Who needs 2D when we've got 3D? 3D, or 3 dimensions, is what we're used to seeing in almost every game these days, letting us do all sorts of awesome stuff like run in circles!
A digital distribution service owned by Valve Corporation. Originally created to distribute Valve's own games, Steam has since become the de facto standard for digital distribution of PC games.
It's the designer's go-to guy. If they want to steer a player in a given direction they'll lock an in game door and force the player to find a way to either unlock it or find an alternate route.
Turn-based games divide game actions into distinct parts, called turns. This gives the player time to strategically choose actions as the battle or events unfold.
