In the Mouth of Madness is amazing -- it's what I consider the last genuinely good Carpenter movie. I love Ghosts of Mars, but it is objectively bad and just a rehash of Assault on Precinct 13. Frank Armitage is just John Carpenter.
I love that everybody's response to hearing that there's a weird ad is to come into the comments and then spoil the surprise of the fucking joke. "Yo everybody has to hear that I was also TOTALLY surprised by this ad!". Just some real thick-headed idjits commenting on this website.
First of all, I don't know what kind of shit weed the Team was smoking during this recording session, but they totally stalled out on Bakalar for his mention of My Cousin Vinny, so they must've been tripping bad. My Cousin Vinny is an American treasure and about eight-hundred and thirty times better than Con Air and most Nicolas Cage movies.
I also don't get why they can't just... wait until Dan comes back to do The Rock? Do Vampire's Kiss (which strikes me as more of an Alex movie than a Dan movie) or something until Dan gets back. Part of what makes these enjoyable is Dan trying to justify the stupid shit he likes to people like Abby and to a lesser extent Vinny. I don't have any brilliant desire to re-watch The Rock immediately, so I can, with no issue, wait for Dan to come back.
Is it just me or does this game seem like it's trying so damn hard to be diverse that it's coming across as a little pandering? These characters seem so neutral and inoffensive they kinda seem a bit dull and flat.
Agreed. I feel like I'm watching a retail training video set in space. I'm going to pass on this unless some Event Horizon or Sunshine shit starts happening.
