@RobertOrri: If I remember correctly, the last LSL was published by a label of Codemasters. So it probably cost Replay pennies to acquire it from them.
Ask Ninja Theory how much the original devs/publishers giving the thumbs up helps "assuage fans."
Still, this DOES bode well and I've moved from skeptical to optimistic. I'm also amused by all these so-called noir fans who say noir can't take place in the tropics/bright, sunny places but seem to fully forget Casa Blanca.
Ultimately, Rockstar has an incredible track record and I'm just going to sit back and trust that they know what they're doing.
I agree wholeheartedly with all of this. People can be too quick to judge.
[...]Ubisoft Reflections' proprietary game engine that allows you to zoom out far enough to see practically all of San Francisco at once.
I don't have any insights into the technical aspects of Driver: SF, but I think R.U.S.E. also allowed this (incredible zoom-in/out, that is). I'm not sure if Eugen's also a part of Ubisoft, but maybe this was a case of tech-sharing?
Eh, whatever. As you said, that theme song is great! And I think I'll end up giving this a rent real soon; the demo sold me on this game, but your recommendation sold-er me more. So thanks for that!
Yup, it's exactly as it says in the title. And it only took 4 years, 2 months and 11 days(thanks Wolfram|Alpha)! I missed the "momentous" occasion, as I was dying my way through Dead Island. But I guess there's no harm since I already bought it back in August (on sale through GamersGate). Haven't touched it in awhile but vanilla skirmish was fun enough. I should fix that...
Though I wonder why they (Steam) bothered to add it after all this time. Maybe Patrick could get on the case? :P
So will anyone be picking Supreme Commander up? Or have you already? And what were your thoughts on it?
I waited for Oblivion, I waited for Fallout 3, I'm waiting for New Vegas. I'll wait for Skyrim.

Also, this. More the bugs and less the mods though. :P
