@loktarogar: I would refuse to purchase a game that held out against its voice talent, yes.

If developers (and I am a software developer) "need to be paid too," they should, like SAG-AFTRA, unionize and work for their own better treatment.

(The replacement voices are also really noticeable and kinda not great.)

Abby, dashing is perfectly fine and you don't need to keep apologising for it. Whoever told you to never do it gave you some bad info.

This is 100% true if you have an understanding of the tradeoffs and how the maps generally work (where pods will spawn and stuff like that). Once you understand the rules, you know when it's OK to break them. (I mean, I spend half of my XCOM 2 games out of cover, especially in WotC.) But you have to understand them first. If somebody is playing the game like it's a black-box oracle, as these folks are (letting meld expire, not using rockets on groups, etc.), it is a much better idea to just never dash.

@flackbyte: Kinda really bad treatment of the development team by the company that owns KSP. There's plenty out there if you want to dig.

@playd3ux: I think you're reading into that a little? Repeating what bigots say to characterize them ain't getting anybody in trouble. And it really is important to make sure the ugliness of it is very apparent.

@goldrock: And that's a fair way to think. At this point, I view it as super unlikely for any reasonably well-known figure in games to not know what they're doing, though, so nobody gets the benefit of the doubt in my book at the moment unless they have a consistent history of decency (because, sure, everybody makes mistakes sometimes)--we've gone to default-deny rather than default-allow because of what the underbelly, and belly, and most of the overbelly of gaming culture has become.
