When did “DnD” become the accepted abbreviation for Dungeons and Dragons? I’ve been using “D&D” for as long as I’ve played it, and it feels like “DnD” took the forefront a few years back.
Anyway I have no problem with these being here but it might be nice to know why.
EDIT: Minutes after typing this, Jean-Luc provided an explanation on Twitter:
“Small update on the GameSpot After Dark podcast. We needed to switch hosting services and our friends at giantbomb very graciously invited us into their home. So yeah that's pretty awesome!!!”
Hearing this game is underwhelming (in a 90-minute demo) is not too surprising. I really wanted to love Prey and Deathloop, and I just fell off of each. Seems like this game is going to walk the same path, at least with the single-player (which will be the vast majority of my time with it, I bet).
Appreciate Dan and Jeff B giving their honest impressions and articulating why it felt off. Some other coverage I’ve read hasn’t given me much insight into the level of fun it promises.
Damn, I guess I have to grab this day one now. Thanks for the review!
I do really wonder where Capcom goes next for its remake series. There’s a lot (understatement) to fix in RE5, even as one of those sickos who likes the game. Capcom seems to want to do anything except acknowledge Code Veronica and the two good Dino Crisis games exist. I guess we’ll find out in 2025.
