Waluigi is the Mario character I like at this point.

The solo stuff sounds good on some songs, not others as much. Jeff's solo on Make Loving Fun sounded good but I guess he said it doesn't do all your strums and that must be weird on his end.

There's going to be some good Photoshop to come out of Dan playing the bass there that Jason was zooming in on around 31 mins in.

Dan's wincing reaction to anyone desecrating Skynyrd solos.

I fired all troublemakers. Fuck that noise. What kind of guy are you housing a soldier who actively gives others PTSD!

I have to agree with that Nolan North quote on the Bombcast as far as this issue (devs first) but I mean conditions need to improve somewhere first so I can't really argue against the change. That just seems like a bigger issue.

All the presentation aspects are so top level. The sound, UI, screen wipes. I can't imagine how fantastic they could make single player look based off of this. Shame we aren't getting any of that.

That really sold me on this game in a big way, seeing it like this. I have been overlooking it otherwise, even though I like the Battlefield series and Star Wars.

I'm an old man of 33 and haven't played a MP shooter seriously since TF2 was new. I really want to play this, but I'm looking at this QL, thinking that if this is how viciously skilled PS4 players are, PC (where I want to play it) is going to be 10 times worse. It seems like I'd be paying $60 to experience little more than spending 30 seconds running somewhere just to get killed before doing anything.

None of these players are "viciously skilled". Vinny just isn't playing very well. Most of the QL is spent with Vinny staring directly at rocks instead of looking around and running out into the open when there are giant-ass AT-ATs wandering around. He had 1 kill and 23 deaths.

FPS players aren't as skilled as people would have you believe. The declining reaction time is not that big of a deal - Jeff handles himself perfectly well when playing FPS games on the site.

Vinny seriously just ran out into the open at every possible opportunity, even when he would run up on a whole gang of his teammates hiding behind rocks or something because hey obviously up ahead there is a straight up killing field, but Vinny just sprinted faster into it.

To his credit he says he's not great at shooters. Anyways, I think you shouldn't take that as the game being so hard. Unless you want to be able to just sprint into the open in a FPS then okay.

@damonkey64: Yeah that game looks awesome.

I played Snatcher (the game that inspired it) not long ago after hearing about it for years and really liked it (part of my inspiration for the idea). Snatcher and Read Only Memories are more adventure game than I'm thinking (they're point and click from a first person perspective) but as far as the style of both games they are inspirational.

And thanks for the encouragement!

@damonkey64: It's very funny you say that because that is actually the exact game I have kicking around in my head. Managing a party of "runner" types using investigation mechanics like this game has and RPG type story based around them. And you would take on contracts kind of how you do cases in this game. Or perhaps just be the "security" division of some big company.

I have been learning to program for a while and settles on something visual novel ish and menu based because it will be easier to pull off (it's been hard to pull off more complex gameplay ideas for me). That's why I was looking at Black Closet here and that's why it was crazy to see it Quick Looked. You saying that is tipping the scales towards that idea though. And seeing a little more of this game, it really works.
