Luckily my parents love my two dogs as much as I do. If they would ever sell them or give them away however, I would definitely set my dad's car on fire and erase all his hard-drives.

That is fucked up. I would be incredibly pissed to the point of moving out and not talking to them again until they get it back.

sorry to hear it man! I've always had pets in my main home and I'm seriously considering getting a dog for our apartment. Your parents  deeply suck tbh.  
make sure that if ever they send you to see some kind of therapist or psychologist that you mention this and emphasize how much you miss the dog
