It's so weird seeing 24fps on this site. And yeah what someone else said, the detail level seems to be so much clearer with the lower light level, could just be depth of field though.
I've already made peace with what this series has become at this point, yet somehow I still get frustrated with how much of the basic stuff they ignore.
If only they knew enough to just take all that money sitting there, make the best battle armor, the best huge machine gun, grenade launcher, missile launcher, etc., they would always be having fun all the time. Forget BOTH the stun smg and the tranq gun!
I hope once the GB East crew realize the Kerbin orbiting the sun is a lost cause, they do what Austin mentioned once in an earlier episode and not send a spaceship, but a MISSILE.
The only big problem I had with this episode is that I was playing this as a best friends story, which along with mother-daughter stories is one of those pairings we don't get a lot of in games (movies as well).
The kiss in episode 3 seemed to play like a dare to me (although that might be getting into "yeah girls would do that" male gaze from the developers), so when I got the climactic ending decision and they kiss each other for real, it was kind of a "Whoa, uh...ok then!" moment for me.
I'm interested in hearing if anyone else had the same reaction as me.
Is it weird that I'm kind of rooting against Drew now? I'm waiting for the eventual moment when this game has repeatedly backed him into a corner and he will have to change his approach or just carry around a shotgun and grenade launcher at all times.
"Sigh...This is starting to feel like the other Metal Gears."
Drew basically playing this game in a vacuum with the worst guide ever is tipping the scales towards this being more frustrating than entertaining for me. I imagine a lot of people playing this game, as it is with lots of other games, were talking with friends or finding out on the internet about all kinds of strategies that they could then play around with, but all Drew has is Dan, who really seems like he barely tried to do anything to understand how this game functions. It's the blind leading the blind.
Which is fine, in a cynical "it's fun to watch something fall apart" kind of way. But I would rather Drew have all the information available to him to really dig deep into however he wants play, so he can feel confident about dealing with new areas, and also so we can watch Dan's mouth drop to the floor when he finds out more things he didn't know he could do.
Also, as fun as the conversations are between the guys, it's getting a little much when they talk over what they were even supposed to be doing on a mission and end up wasting time wandering around, and then don't know how to even check the idroid to get some context back. At that point what are you even trying to accomplish with this series?
I can't for the riot suits and directional mines to come out. It's going to an interesting challenge, especially since no one has really pointed out how many equipment destroying dispatch missions Drew is starting to build up.
