@dudeglove:

LOL. These walls are thin. I dont know whats going on in there.

See this is the shit i mean tho. Now wait for Alex to realize they are fighting Space Gods and the Werewolves are actually tentacle faced monsters and that they are all in a dream/nightmare/in a real city/who the fuck knows what happened in Bloodborne? lol

These two would have a blast if they sat down and dug into this batshit crazy game.

Great clip, thanks for sharing it...

oh.. and people having eyeballs all over their body. im sure the two of them will handle that just fine. :P

I enjoy watching people find new things when going through the Souls games. No idea what it is about Bloodborne but it fails to capture that at all as a spectator game for me even though it's a great game to play.

You may not get the joy of finding new items/seeing them experiment as much.

Personally I find the world itself to be the gift of Bloodborne. The combat itself is essentially the same from beginning to end.. but when personalities like Vinny or Alex are experiencing that world for the first time, I think the banter and confusion of wtf is happening will make up for the lack of items/builds.

Its also relatively short, if you play it 'right'. I think I beat Bloodborne in less than half the time I beat DS2, so it wouldnt be some crazy long and drawn out feature most likely.

If it wasnt Vinny and Alex or other GB dudes I wouldnt be interested most likely, but as we all know, we come to this site for these silly bastards and their banter.. and I think they will deliver in spades when they see the psycho shit Bloodborne has up its sleeve.

I totally get your point, if this was just some random Youtubers or whatever, i wouldnt care.. but this is the GB dudes, we know they make anything into a funny little show and I wanna hear what Alex thinks when he sees these monsters turn inside out and rip themselves apart... and then finds out theres aliens. lol

@picky_bugger: gross tho.. all that bloodborne content was chalice dungeons... that shit was terrible lol.

in defense of the idea - chalice dungeon playthrus are about as interesting as watching grass grow.

And partially the reason i recommend it is the obviously unexpected departure of Austin. I guess you could argue its lazy, but also, our guys need some content... i dont mind letting them just enjoy playing a game and relaxing instead of stressing their minds out the next few weeks while they court a replacement. This is something they and the fans could enjoy without anyone having to pull their hair out trying to figure out another show each week while theyre down a man.

Lords of the Fallen tho.. ? :( Gross. :P lol jk

edit: i did want to point out i also think the chalice dungeon stuff was garbage because the best thing about BB is its psycho lore. I wanna hear Vinny and Alex's flabbergasted reactions, followed by their attempts to rationalize things, followed by them saying fuck it and making up their own story of WTF is going on in Yharnam.

With how obtuse the game is about its story i could fully picture the two of them having utterly insane interpretations of wtf is going on.. and that would amuse me. and thats why i pay for this silly site lol

It'd certainly be fun but unfortunately I think it'll only happen if Vinny decides he wants to do it. I don't think the staff often take suggestions, and I know they're also wary of having too much Souls content. I seem to remember around the release of DaS2 Vinny saying as much.

That is why we must make him think its just a new Castlevania game! I get it now.. Let me change the title :P lol

And honestly - if one Souls game DESERVES content its Bloodborne. Yes, the gameplay shares similarities but outside of that, the universe, the enemies, the story is utterly unique. I know its a Souls game, Id never deny that.. But we really need to hear Alex's reactions to some of the horrifyingly disgusting shit in this game.

its also not just unique to souls.. its a pretty much unique setting in any comparison. Yes, it delves into some Occult/Werewolves stuff at first.. then it goes out of its goddamn mind lol

Souls was always a little violent, which was great... Bloodborne is downright disgusting. They need to get this on video for science purposes :P

Come on Vinny, we know you wanna be this guy. Your Castlevania experience has made you the prime candidate to save this city! Get your whip and get out there!

Very good points - Alex may be a perfect candidate to be corrupted by souls. Get it done, GiantBomb. Vinny needs to play through it first though so he can be a guide and lead him astray at times as well.

Havent watched the Bloodborne streams yet - actually just bought it yesterday and havent started, but Ill check those out once I get through it myself.

Its just crazy because Souls literally feels like it would be the least conducive game to an entertaining stream but they have made it work

So, Im not sure how messy the configuration would be or if it is even possible - but I kinda want Vinny to lead Brad through another Souls game all the way through, like the Demon's Souls series they did.

Any chance Brad is willing to hold off on playing Dark Souls 3 for us while Vinny finishes and then we can have some more guidance and sometimes mischief with Vinny and him? Thought this series was comedy gold. Brad's reactions and evolution was fun to watch and Vinny armchairing and messing with him and helping was hilarious all around.

That shit in the last stream where Vinny put Brad on that ledge and Brad just randomly found an item and thought Vinny was helping him nearly killed me lol

Either way, thanks for that segment, guys. I never watched a real full Lets Play before but this one got me.

Keep up the good work!

Ive been a premium member for a few months now and I gotta say thanks to the GiantBomb guys and the community for opening my eyes on these Indie games, particularly 2d ones.

I had been avoiding 2d games for years and years and due to the quality of Giant Bomb's quick looks and their explanation of game mechanics (and comedy) I have found myself scooping up plenty of 2d games lately when I wouldve never given them a second glance. I just had kind of ignored these games for years, thinking we had moved past them.

The game in particular that really made me make this post was The Fall. I watched Vinny and Alex's Quick Look and played the game yesterday and just was blown away by the quality of the game.

Just was curious to hear if any members here had actually been utilizing GiantBomb to venture into genres/games they otherwise would have ignored.

Thanks for your time guys!
