Devil May Cry supposedly has some sort of "amazing sequence" that will probably be brought up. I don't know what it is, as I've just started the game, myself.
The only thing I'm worried about being spoiled (which isn't even a story thing) is whatever "that one scene" is in DmC Devil May Cry that they were hinting at. Whatever "that one scene" is, I don't know, but from the way they talked about it, it sounds pretty incredible.
I kind of want to go back and watch the show, but I don't know if I could handle some of the wacky antics/slice of life aspects of the show. The "thermal expansion" bit was funny when I was in middle/high school, but the fact that the characters are like 14 feels like more of an issue now.
That being said, when that show got serious, they threw dark.
I doubt people mean that in the....what was that game that ended halfway through and got a lot of controversy about that fact?
Asura's Wrath, maybe? That wasn't as much that it didn't have an ending, it was more that it had a lackluster ending to which they added a frustrating "oh by the way, this other part of the story that we glossed over earlier is actually really important but we won't tell you how or why unless you buy the DLC." That being said, the DLC ending is bananas.
Can we ban comments like "it ends" and insist people levy actual criticisms against their GOTYs?
I'd normally agree, but I can imagine there are some cases where an abrupt or unsatisfactorily early ending with little to no resolution IS a legitimate criticism.
