OP here. I bit the bullet and waited 6 months to deactivate online on the very day I was allowed to do so. A few days before, I chatted with a Sony rep to make sure that I would be able to deactivate on that day and that there were no problems on their end. I was able to finally activate the only PS4 I ever owned as primary. Not sure if it was a hack or not, but I'd like to think I never gave the culprit a chance to re-activate their PS4 if it was, and I did change my password for good measure anyways.

It really does stink though. Without a primary PS4, I couldn't make use of remote play for PC. I couldn't make use of automatic uploads for my PS plus account. And if I had a PS Vue account, I wouldn't have been able to use the DVR abilities.

Video game sites aren't just about some gumshoe writing about the latest release. In order for any of them to stand out, there has to be compelling personalities who do a good job of expressing themselves on camera. It's show business, and in my opinion, Giant Bomb does a superlative job. Unprofessional Fridays, for me, is reason enough to pay for membership.

PC, first and foremost. I'm one of those crazy bastards who likes to tinker with graphics settings. It's part of the experience. Secondarily, I play on PS4 for games I can't get on PC, ie, Bloodborne.

Hope this thread never descends into a platform war. It shouldn't have to. I prefer the PC because it fits my style, but I can see why someone would prefer a WiiU.

Anybody with a Vive or Rift, check this 360 video out:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6SsB3JYqQg

I used Virtual Desktop, which can play these 360 videos in 3D, and had the time of my life. Incredible. Almost got sick when he was doing barrel rolls, but amazing nonetheless! Funniest part for me was looking behind to see the co-pilot taking pics with his phone. LOL. Guess he wasn't doing much!

I know one can see these 3D videos with Google cardboard and a phone, but the high quality of the Vive shown through with this video. Just amazing. Hope to see really good games come soon, but to me, this experience allowed me to justify for myself the 900 dollars I spent. Just wow.

My earliest memory of Prince: 1982. In the car listening to "When Doves Cry". Awesome song.

I just got off the phone with Sony CS. They told me that my account has a PS4 associated with it that was activated this February and that I couldn't deactivate it for 6 months and that I wouldn't be able to activate the only PS4 I ever owned. The only reason why I decided to activate the PS4 I own is that I wanted to play around with remote play. Prior to that, I never activated anything. It doesn't make sense. Was my account high-jacked? Some kind of accounting bug on Sony's part? As I told them on the phone, this was the only PS4 I ever owned.

Ridiculous. The whole experience has soured me on the PS4. I'm probably going to cancel my Plus account and definitely will nix payment info, contact info, etc.. associated with my account.

Anybody else have this issue?

Same computer different results. My CPU is five years old, so maybe I found fault with SteamVR's performance test.Their website does call for at least an i5 4590 as does the Rift, but I am curious if somehow the Vive really would perform better on my system than the Rift. Anybody else have results like these?

Some time during my 2nd play though of Dark Souls 2, and having played Dark Souls and Bloodborne, I realized that I could back up my save games and never have to worry about losing souls/blood vials. Definitely a "how stupid could I have been?" moment. A form of cheating? Ya, sure, but what a pain in the butt having a crapton of souls and getting ganked by a mob with a dirty attack the devs thought would be cute to implement. I say you gotta get a leg up on those games somehow, short of actually hacking the game itself, of course. I suspect Dark Souls 3 will have code that will prevent backing up so I enjoy it while I can.

The editor's personal lists, excluding Jeff's, are everywhere, with only a few commonalities. It's going to come down to Mario Maker and MGSV, I think, but I think they'll be a lot of arguing back and forth in the interim.

Ha ha, love the Everquest graphics. A game, I might mention, I still play!
